It is odd that the boxes with the 2 month movie pass and 3 month entertainment pass is £1 more expensive..

Right I don't want to seem daft but..wanting to leave Virgin because every damn year it increases. .so this Now TV, is it almost just like the tivo/a sky box itself? And there's no way around needing WiFi? Sorry if this is some stupid questions..

On these ones you can use Ethernet! See this more as a laptop that plugs into your TV. It can't show you "live" tv - everything is streamed from the Web. The 2016 box (more expensive than this!) allows you to plug an aerial in and integrate normal channels with sky's, much more like a tivo/sky box but you still need an internet connection for the sky channels.

So would the 2016 box require no broadband? Thank you for your reply btw :D

These are at last years Black Friday's 4 months Movies, OR 6 months Entertainment Passes £19 prices ..... NICE!!!, hehehe.

And yes, Tesco were the one's to kick-off those £19 prices last Black Friday too!, lol (get ready for the ensuing whirlwind that follows?, hehehe). :-)

They're coming up at £20 for me, with shorter pass time.. did Tesco change the offer back? Or am I being slow at.. half 3am.

***edit*** never mind! The Get Deal link works but the two posted seem incorrect at least for me!

My parents are moving in January and instead of getting sky they are going with virgin media but they love sky Atlantic which you can't get on virgin. If they buy this now, can they activate the pass later on or do they have to activate straight away? Thanks.

Thanks for posting - just bought one of each!
These will come in handy once my existing voucher stack is depleted - just in time for Game of Thrones next year! ;)

My entertainment pass runs out on 25th, so went to cancel subscription yesterday
and they offered me it at £4.99 a month. Thought I would hold out for a better deal.
"And low and behold". Well done Chianchi.
Perfect timing.
Just ordered c&c

You need an internet connection, yes, and that is usually Broadband. For the 'best' quality streaming available on this NowTV box you'd need a stable speed of just over 3mbps, or so their Customer Support advised me a year or so ago.

Anything on the entertainment pass worth watching, apart from Westworld ?

Every year I used to get these deals, and ended up hardly watching anything. I have just gone for Sky Movies which is handy for around Oscar time.

Might be from the web but you can watch what is on the channels live. You can this on the Movie Channels, All the Entertainments Channels & bbc iplayer (which btw TiVo don't have)
Having Bbc Iplayer, Itv Player and channel 4 catch up is a massive bonus over TiVo

Great deal, but holding out for the new Now TV box, hope they reduce it as I want to have the freeview hd.

Heat added, i just ordered from tesco. We pay £80 per month to Sky and my husband and me we were talking yesterday about canceling but we love watching sky1 and sky atlantic. We can remove the kids channels as we can use youtube for them . So now off to discuss with sky how to reduce our bill after cancelling tv. Thanks.

Does this box have 1080p and dolby digital? I think I remember reading there was an update since the previous Now TV boxes could only output 720p and stereo.
