This is a landline digital cordless phone - 1 Base station and 1 additional handset.

Has colour screen, SMS texting facility and SIM card reader to load contacts from SIM.

Also a tad confused, assuming this is for the now Virgin customers who were previously with Telewest or NTL but if you send a text with one to a mobile how much would you be charged on your Virgin bill?

EDIT - Just seen Edi's reply, does that mean the credit would come off your mobile credit rather than go on your Virgin statement?

I'm getting all confused here... Dont think this is a mobile handset but just cordless phone working on landline. SIM card reader will allow importing contacts to phonebook and landline charges apply for making calls.

Although this is a NTL product, should work on BT line too. Correct me if I'm wrong.

with SMS Text Messaging

But you can send SMS, just wondering if the charge of that SMS would come from your Landline (if so how much per text?) or from your Mobile Credit (as you would have your mobile sim in the phone at the time).

If anyone can answer the above then great.

Hello, all..

It certainly appears to be a landline which simply reads contacts from the SIM.. A mighty fine idea, if you ask me!
