Every round has been sold on the cheap like this.
As a season ticket holder, blame the stepson for that.
How's he to blame?

Making me take him. :D
6-0 value for money for the neutrals. :)
2-1 Liverpool too...

I joked that it will be a Liverpool vs Newcastle final.

Id take Leeds in next round.

Here's hoping the great famous well supported Newcastle have a fantastic cup run :D
I love the championship. Proper football with proper supporters. Not sold out to corporate w*nkers.
Don't know what team you support, but I assume from your post that if some Russian/ Chinese/ Arab investor came along with a zillion pounds to propel them to the Champions League every year........... you'd say no ?
It's sad but true, that the days of Derby, Forest etc are gone - Leicester was just a blip - be thankful you don't live in parts of Eastern Europe where mafia money decides the game.

Support Newcastle. I'd worry that for every abramovic there would be an Ellis Short a Randy Lerner, Vincent Tan or a Cellino. Remember Michael Knighton at Old Trafford? Lucky escape for Man U. He couldn't make a success at Carlisle. Been to San Siro, nou camp and De kuip in the champions league and would love it again but nothing beats getting promoted at Grimsby under the floodlights.... Midweek. Fond memories.

If you truly support NUFC then don't go as its the only way to get rid of Ashley who has zero intentions of selling NUFC. Mike Ashley is lining his pockets whilst running the club in a disgraceful manner in the cheapest way possible, with no ambition to do anything other than stay up so he can continue lining his pockets and use the club as one ugly advertisement for Sports Direct. Plenty of supporters are packing their tickets in which is why the club is getting desperate and offering these deals.
"Why would Mike Ashley care if your not there the man gets paid as soon as the doors open ..he could be standing there in St James Park on his own and it would not affect the money he makes or change the way he runs things..".If you truly support NUFC then dont go"... I have never heard so much tosh..As a child and into my teens the Gallowgate Stand of St James Park is where i witnessed people from all walks of life ...shout...chant...cheer and cry together and come back and do it all again the week after regardless of score.if they played bad 1 week the fans would shout clap whistle twice as loud the week after...Dads couldnt wait to take their boys to see the Toon even when we played in Division 2...and Division 1. If you truly support NUFC you would be there making sure the team know ur behind them regardless of owner....!!

i managed to fulfill a dream of my sons to have his own season ticket...so u boycott mate at least he be surrounded by fans and not bandwagon bandits who are showing support by not coming !!

Lot's of Leicester "fans" coming out of the woodwork, funny that haven't seen or heard one for over a decade.
Well it's no surprise that all of the glory supporters that tagged on to Chelsea and Man City over the past 3-4 years are now asking Santa for a Leicester shirt seeing as we are top without breaking a sweat yet! ;)
I'm sure Vardy and Mahrez are asking Santa for a big money move to either Chelsea or Man City.
Vardy won't be going anywhere and Mahrez won't go until the Summer at the earliest and even then it will only be one of Europe's top clubs.
Even if he does go then, we'll get £35+ million (if not £50+ million if he keeps playing this good) for him and considering the pair of them only cost us £1.4 million, we'll probably be even more devastating with that much to spend! 8)
Either of those gets injured and lets see how quickly you fall. Mahrez could be one of many one season wonders that have graced the premier league.

This doesn't tell the whole story. For example to get an away ticket for Stoke vs Newcastle:

Away tickets are only available to purchase by season ticket holders and club members. Away tickets are first made available to season ticket holders. Where demand for a match is expected to be high then tickets will be made available based on the number of away loyalty points a supporter has collected. Following the season ticket holder sale period, and assuming tickets still remain, then away tickets will be put on sale for club members.

Newcastle season tickets start at £495 for an adult & a child. A club membership without a season ticket is currently £35 a year.

So you can't just 'choose' to go to this match.

Despite my avatar (I am a Liverpool fan), I actually have a season ticket at St James' Park.
Newcastle is where I live & the family are all Geordies!

Don't get your point. Its free to become a stoke club member and away tickets are the same at most clubs, the higher you are up the pecking order the more chance you have of getting a ticket.

BTW will you be a Chelsea fan by the end of the season too?

Sounds like you've got more clubs than tiger already

So you expect me to tell a wanting child that I won't take him?
Apart from possibly shielding him from a lifetime of sporting disappointment. :D

Shame it wasnt Sunderland v Newcastle, would be guaranteed 3 goals ;)

Sunderland should count themselves lucky to even be in the Prem. this season, so don't get too cocky :)

Absolute Rubbish. They had an outstanding season, league cup final, great fa cup run, some great prem victories, beat Newcastle home and away and was only the second team in premiership history to avoid relegation having been bottom at Xmas and yet finished 12th I believe.

An amazing season as a fan as opposed to the humdrum of most mid table boring teams.

read that in reverse and you have newcastle's season, only they were firmly placed above man utd in the top half of the table by christmas
Heat ... com'on the toon ...
My gf is a Potter and we are at the match tomorrow. Hope Villa get stuffed and go down.

You couldn't pay me to watch this borefest.

Nobody was planning to.

Great deal, wish more clubs did this.

How is £20 a good deal for this, it is clearly a championship standard match and most championship teams only charge £15.

due to the reason above, here's a game that was less than half full at an official figure of "20,577". What loyalty!
So - you haven't noticed other teams getting crowds of half or less their PL gates in League Cup or Europa League Cup games ? It was also noted on perhaps the night of the picture above, that an attendance of 20,000 or so was the TOP attendance that night of the League Cup games !!!
ALL teams get gates like this. Even Man U with people coming from all over the British Isles to support them, get lower gates for unimportant League Cup Games
So you've searched and searched for ONE game like that ? And you don't think that's a bit pathetic ?
But Newcastle get that all the time.
Nobody else.
Now what is YOUR reason for you having this obsession against a team nowhere near your team (who'd be as far from Manchester as YOU ?) X)

Edited By: PhilK on Nov 29, 2013 10:37: .

A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the premier league, as is still getting more through the gate than a team like Man City. To claim otherwise just comes across as pouty.

No Newcastle fans came in here saying "best fans in the world".
It's funny. Rival fans like the idiot above are the ones who bleat this. Newcastle fans are accused of many things that OTHER clubs fans do.
Ive heard this best fans in world thing from Liverpool fans, Man U fans, Everton fans, Leeds fans and Spurs fans, even.
Ive NEVER heard it from Newcastle only rival fans ranting it.
Newcastle fans have been sneered at and are apparently the "only fans who take their tops off at matches" (I've seen most clubs fans do it) Once a Newcastle fan bubbled at a match apparently this means we all do it, and we are the ONLY ones doing it - Ive seen Liverpools fans do it Ive seen Man Yoo fans do it when Cantona retired FFS ! Disappointment (and Christalmighty we've had nothing but) will affect some like that. BUT the media hate Newcastle fans for some reason (I'd love you to point out any doing the opposite - in return I point out Mick Dennis (Norwich fan) of the Express, or Bill Barkley (Everton fan) who are constantly attacking team, fans and even the bloody CITY. This mysterious love of the press for us is just non-existent.
I recall a Sheff Wed fan on TV saying that he'd went to a Newcastle v Sheff Wed match and there was only 7,000 there in 85. He was believed....no effort to check. The attendance was capacity at the time 37.500 (Leazes end still not built) I know - I was there.

But no other club gets this spite.
Funniest of all is they rant "You're not a big club" but they can't stop talking about and ranting against us - probably more than against Man UI !!! X)
Maybe their obsession proves the OPPOSITE of what they claim. Its like a spurned lover saying they HATE the one who spurned them !!! ;):p

According to a large section of your support and the media.
Now, seeing as you're hiding your own team, (usual act of someone like you) I can just pass another occasion when a picture was shown "as proof" - it was a game against Oxford in the old Div 1 just after the last but one relegation. Mid 80s I think. The Leazes end was almost empty, it was the area at the time where the rival fans were put in. But just before the start of the game, with virtually NO Oxford fans there, it was given over to Newcastle fans. But only a handful knew about it.
BUT someone took a picture, and THAT was used in the same petulant moronic petty way you are using the above.

So you're a NON-Manchester Man Yoo fan ? LOL

But the funniest of all is the monumentally moronic "Geordies buy tickets and don't turn up" idiocy. I mean - that is the stupidest comment Ive heard since an Aston Villa fan during the unbelievable, hysterical celebration of Newcastle's relegation in 2009 said Newcastle fans "deserved relegation because so many turned up despite no trophies"
And I wonder just how much YOU would support your team without trophies, chuckles.

...they buy tickets and don't turn up....I mean......X)X)X)

Edited By: PhilK on Nov 29, 2013 10:27: .
To be fair, there's nothing wrong with wanting Moyes out. He's an idiot.

I don't know in what sense Newcastle are punching above their weight. In the UK, you're probably in the top 5 or 6 most supported clubs.

In the sense that we've always out-performed teams in similar circumstances. In the sense that we've been in the second tier we've had better gates than many in the top flight, that we set a championship attendance record and were the fourth best supported team in the country while playnig the likes of Doncaster, that we had the third highest gates in the country last season in spite of ending in a relegation scrap, that we're the tenth biggest gate in Europe last season in spite of being served up pretty dire football (Although I'm sure I'll hear there's no one-club cities in Europe, nay, the world, either and that anything under 90,000 is terrible for Newcastle in their unique and privileged position), that we have one of the biggest away followings despite the cost to our fans being more than any other club in the country, that most of our fan base comes from our local area, rather than from people who've abandoned their local team in favour of a franchise club like Man U or Liverpool. It's not too hard to see why Newcastle fans are looked on favourably, the club wasn't just drawn out of a hat for it. And that's why there's all this bitterness whenever it's mentioned. And moronic comments like the one called out in the top post of this thread.

A 50,000 average attendance is excellent for a club finishing 16th in the premier league, as is still getting more through the gate than a team like Man City. To claim otherwise just comes across as pouty.

No Newcastle fans came in here saying "best fans in the world". Ill-informed opinions about attendances and Newcastle fans were brought up by mouthbreathers like somekindofwonderful and yourself. As someone who's recently seen Man U fans portrayed as so arrogant and entitled that they want Moyes out as soon as it looks like he won't immediately win the league or get in the champions league based on the kind of people who like talking to cameras outside the ground or call up 606 to shout in angry Irish accents, I would have thought you'd be wary of judging a fanbase based on what you see on TV.

Newcastle fan punches horse. Sunderland players come to Newcastle to rape women.

Good deal for the diehard fans that go to the away games.

Think all Sunderland players live in the Newcastle area and socialise there too. cant say I blame them..

Most live in gateshead, like Newcastle players do. Some posh estate.

The few of our lot that do live in Newcastle are right to. It's a far better city. But thankfully they're smart enough to rent flats, keep off street level for when the locals decide to smash the place up again ;)

But we have seen you kick police dogs and racially abuse players mums...

You haven't seen me do those things mate, I could barely give a sh*t about the game I just love to wind Geordies up. So easy.

Mackems will always concede and hold up their hands and say "Yes, we were ****. We are ****. We haven't won anything."

Geordies on the other hand will always bite :)

Exactly. The majority of us are realists.

Go a bit further up the road and the delusion is so rife that it becomes hard to breathe at times. On the plus side, they provide the nation with comedy gold year after year.

Apart from "disabled" people punching horses, though. That's just cruel.

Out of Europe.........beaten 3-0 by a better team, play like that and relegation looms....now that would be 3 good results

I think the Facist(as you quote) did well....

Its great to listen to you whinge............and then smash your own city centre up..................again..

Newcastle 0 Sunderland 3 was it?
Well done!
Best result in THIRTY THREE YEARS!
I'm 65 now so that means I won't see your next "good result" LOL
Relegation does loom. I'm gutted that we're now lower in the table than you guys. :(

Good result that. How did the Facist get on?

Best thing would be to try the Benfica website. Nufc website as well maybe useful.
I´m a Benfica suporter. Does anyone know which section are the supporters of this team staying and where if i can get tickets online or at the stadium?

They have been this price all season.

I know. Surprised to see this on here and had mine booked since they were released. Im a Newcastle fan living in Scotland and four of us are down on the 11th...that reminds me I need to book accommodation!
Just shows how Newcastle are going in the right direction after they announced £1.8 million profit for this year. Show that other teams just charge giant prices because they can. Toon Toon!!!
Great price! Spurs are charging us £30+ for Europa tickets!

You couldn't sell all your tickets

Ashame for a so called big club
At least we get past the 40 odd thousand bums on seats unlike the empty gound at scumderland I am watching now. ;)

wow, how clever are you coming up with that.

36000 there today, hardly empty

Will they be able to deal with all the away fans arriving in a taxi? With the new tv deal coming soon all Premiership sides should reduce their ticket prices so parents can afford to take the next generation of fans to their clubs.
This is how much tickets should cost. Way too much money in football these days.

Anyone who pays £15 for last seasons top wants sectioned.

Could you find me a link for a better price please?

Real fans don't wear the shirts??
What a load of rubbish!

I think that was "tongue in cheek" based upon the fact that newcastle fans always take their shirts off and show off their "ample" bodies.

Which incidentally, is b*llocks

Yeah that's right. Sorry, my description of "Children" is a bit vague - extends to U18s... that includes all areas of the ground.

Do you need to be a member to get these deals? If so, club membership is £25 a year.

U18s tickets available without being a member. Seperate members' deal also included in each link though - those are for the adult tickets.

Personally I couldn't give a monkeys who is sponsoring the club, I just want the team to go out and give 4127%. ;)
The deal is actually incorrect.

They let under 18s in for a fiver yes. However it takes the form of a Wonga Loan which means that for the West Brom game if you pay at the end of November it costs you £37.46 but according to Mike Ashley at least a fiver of that will go to the club (the other £32.46 will be a contribution to his fund to buy out JJB Sports).

You couldn't make up what goes on in the name of Newcastle United but fat Mike's not paying 4000% on their debts.
