Better than the original in Guardian test.

Better than the original in Guardian test.
Also tops in the Telegraph test - Quote:

Price: £29.99 from Lidl (in store only)
Comes with: two beakers, small and large, as against the Nutribullet’s three, but it does have an on-the-go drink through lid, unlike the Nutribullet. Two blades.
Wattage: 700W
Maximum run time: 60 seconds
Guarantee: 3 years
Does it stay on without continually pressing down?: Yes
Pros: Less than half of the price of a Nutribullet. Has a powerful motor which creates an effective vortex with the ingredients, meaning there’s less scraping down to do. Excellent results.
Cons: Hard to think of any – no record to indicate how long it will last, although the three year guarantee is encouraging.

The Scores
· Smoothie – Fairly fine texture and flavour, pulverizing all the seeds and skin 5/5
· Hummus – Super smooth with an airy, almost whipped consistency. Unlike the other blenders, no need to stop the machine and tap the mixture down. 5/5
· Almond milk – creamy milk, with a small amount of very fine almond pulp left in the muslin after straining. 5/5
· Margarita – a good smooth consistency, but a bit runnier than the Nutribullet. 4/5

OVERALL: Even without factoring in the lower price, this one was the best performer of the four.A genuine bargain. 5/5

just bought this last week from Amazon, fantastic blender, very powerful and blends smoothies in a few seconds. would recommend smoothie packs from Iceland (£2 for 4 portions of banana/kale/mango or carrot/Pineapple/papaya) if you're ultra lazy like me

Does anyone know if it's good in grinding nuts, seeds and grains?

Quote from the Lidl product details:
"Cross-blade attachment easily blends fruit and vegetables, while the flat-blade attachment is perfect for chopping harder foods, herbs and grains"

You can always take it back - It has a 3 Year Warranty - Just keep the receipt

I maybe wrong, but I'm sure the one Aldi is selling is 1200 watt so more powerful than this.

Was going to buy this, ended up just buying a blender from argos for £10.
Does the job perfectly. Don't see the point off paying 3 times as much for a different shape blender. Each to there own I suppose

Works perfectly fine for my needs

Bought this for convenience over my standard jug blender and have noticed my morning smoothies made with frozen banana and skimmed milk from the fridge are considerably warmer. Smoothies from my Jug blender are nice and cold 20 minutes later but almost warm with this even adding 2 or 3 ice cubes into the mix. Anyone else find this?
