Note: This is has the faster DDR3 memory & is AGP (NOT PCI-E)

Overall performance/FPS is on par with a X1650Pro: http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics_2007.html?modelx=33&model1=721&model2=735&chart=318, but costs considerably less

This would make an excellent upgrade in an older AGP PC that doesn't have very good graphics. Minimum CPU required so not to cause potential bottlenecks would be an Intel P4 2.6 or AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (I think). Just make sure you have a good quality 400-500W PSU at the very least too.

Price includes taking £10 off with Google Checkout (GC): http://www.ebuyer.com/special/1314

Without GC & the flash drive the price including delivery is £26.84, so one essentially gets the flash drive for free & saves 51p if using GC

The flash drive included is the Sandisk 2GB USB 2.0 Micro Cruzer which costs £9.39 on it's own: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/109061

Please correct me if I'm wrong, would it not be cheaper to add something for around £3.20 (+£26.84 for gfx card) to make up the shortfall to £30, so you can get the GFX card for around £20 delivered (after GC calculated)?

Or have I genuinely missed something? :?

Woah, that's a bit of a crazy deal - when someone was asking for an AGP graphics card, I thought a Radeon 9600 pro for 22 quid was a good deal. Ordered one of these for my brother, he's got a GF4 Ti4600 which was a good card in its day but struggling somewhat now.

Would this be compatible with my ASRock 939A8X-M motherboard?

(Currently have a 128MB GeForce FX5200 in a PCI slot if I remember correctly, but as you can see from the link, it does actually have an AGP slot).

No it wouldn't have been cheaper as £26.84 included delivery as well. Without delivery it was around £21-22 so one needed to add something about the £8-9 range to take it over £30 to be eligible for the GC discount.

I chose the particular Sandisk USB flash drive to go with it as it appeared excellent value being 2Gb & good quality too. Every other flash drive up to that price point was only 1Gb or not very good quality. Hope that helps

The way they were selling (& have sold out in a few hours), it seems people were bulk buying to sell on eBay/elsewhere to make a fat profit, which is a pity. Why do we bother to post these deals?! Next time I probably won't bother :-(

to be frank, im suprised that you wouldn't think people wouldnt buy them to sell on else where, i bet a lot people that use HUD just to get the cheap deals so that they can sell else where.

Like the big thing over Dr Who Box set how many have put a order in just to sell else where at a nice little price??

Keep trying on eBay - you can get some real bargains. Searched 'Completed Listings' & found two secondhand 6800GTs that went for £30-35 with buy-it-now - items 170160347364 & 250176804108 (no fan!). OK, not as good as the eBuyer deal but not too bad either.
