Brand new and picked up in the Leeds Centre store but other branches might have them too. A great device for the money.

sorted byCpu/ram is exactly the same. Both have 4k 60p HDR currently. Both will have the new software by the end of the week/month that enables Google home. You could even buy a new controller and pair it with a 2015 shield.
If you can get a 2015 model for this price you are insane to pass. I personally think the 2015 model is better then the 2017 (for the 16gb version).

Great device, most powerful Android TV box you can get. Just wish more of the play store games were optimised for it but lots of cool custom things you can do with it like make it a emulator box, kodi box or just use it for streaming of video and games....
Get an old Amazon Firestick controller - that's what I use with mine
Power wise the new one has pretty much the same hardware I believe.
I can confirm it comes with a gaming controller included but no remote control included.
They also had one in a black box in stock at £219.99, I'm guessing that's the new one? I didn't bother checking because not worth it at that price point.

It's the best box for kodi - New Nvidia box on its way but get this as performance on Kodi won't be any better
Piece of cake!!
Nope, not faster, same Tegra X1, just smaller and now no micro SD slot, but gains Google OK always on
You can stream pc but you may need nvidia card , does support 4k play back.

Will have when the update comes very soon.
I miss it already. The box is classy and admittedly the pairing of devices can be hit and miss but otherwise you'd be daft not to get one at this price.
As mentioned, the newer version is only cosmetically different and this will receive the same updates.
Hot from me, OP.
Gamestream as well is absolutely amazing
Depends what you mean by that? When you switch it on you just log into your android account and your good to go...
Kodi is already installed but youll need to put a build on it for shows etc
Emulators can be a pain to get how you want them to look but again its just download from the playstore
It was the only box left in the cabinet so I presume it was the last one. Other branches might have them or they might get another delivery in time.
Update to latest firmware (same as new Shield) is also available as we speak!
Also doesn't like waking from sleep on occasion, so needs an unplug. It's corrupted 2 64GB microSD cards, so am thinking about getting the Pro version of the 2017 model (there are documented issues with the 500GB 2015 model).
This box has the most options for 4K content
It is the most powerful TV Box around, so very quick to use and should not go out of date for a while
The power in it means it is good for running Android game and emulators
It can also be used to stream PC games from your PC
And/or use the Nvidia GeForce now sub to stream games from Nvidia
It runs Kodi / SPMC brilliantly
It misses some of the catchup TV Apps at the mo (only iPlayer has a properly set up one), but it is still probably the most complete option out there.
If you stream lots then the 3 GB ram kicks butt on the cheaper models.... No lag and much smoother playback. this thing is built to stream 4K, top spec of its range. sometimes its worth spending a little more to gain much more mate.
Have you read any of the other comments? The difference is mostly cosmetic. Also, how can you vote cold but then go on to say the same unit is almost 3 times the price on Amazon? Have you seen this cheaper anywhere else? You can't vote cold purely because a newer version is out. Would you vote a PS3 for £20 cold because the PS4 is now out? Makes no sense.
I recently sold my Shield after using it a year as never used the gaming side.
Got the Fire TV box and Kodi,Plex,Netflix all work the same as on the Shield same speed no difference.
