Great tablet for portable gaming, game streaming (Nvidia 600+ series GPU needed), and general media consumption. Really considered buying this for a year if I had the money available.

Just checked, available direct from Amazon for the same price and a third party seller is selling for £154.59.

BT Shop are rubbish - 4 orders with them all cancelled, no explanation, no apology, absolute carp.

How's the tegra chip with android?

Alot of gas run smoother on the snapdragon than the Exynos so was wondering if that's the case here as well?

According to AndroidAuthority not only one of the best Android tablets out there, but also one of the most affordable.

I have the original ST since release and very pleased with. My only device already on 3rd major android release and if I'm right 7.x is already out or on the way. So no worries, nVidia handles Andoid pretty nice.

I agree I have the nvidia shield tablet original model the one before this one, and I may say what a tablet. It's smooth, robust, and great gaming tablet. I have had it for 2 years and still haven't found anything else with the specs to take its place.

Something in your comment sounds fishy.

I have one of these and it's brilliant. Would recommend to anyone.

Need to bare in mind that the K1 doesn't have the stylus unlike the original Shield Tablet.

How does this compare against the Mi Pad 2 64GB?

And does 16GB internal w/ micro SD affect performance or quickly run out of space.

I already have the basic Kindle Fire (8GB, 64GB microSD). But it's very slow and the system storage is always running out and complaining it's full. So looking to replace it under £200.

Not too sure on the Mi Pad

As long as the micro sd is a class 10 it shouldn't affect performance. The 16gb is poor on any device but you can now make your micro sd part of the system storage so it's not really a problem.

This tablet is very quick with not much bloat so shouldn't slow down

So does adding a 64GB microSD make it look like the system drive is 80GB?

One of the issues I have with Amazon Fire is that the microSD shows up as a second device under /storage/sdcard1. Some apps can be moved to the microSD but some can't. BBC iPlayer is one example, and wont allow downloaded shows to be moved to any storage other than the wired system drive. Very annoying.

That is correct Julius, adding a 64gb sdhc makes it one 80gb partition.

It initially shows up separate but you just need to merge it by using the adoptive storage option within Android.

It has nothing at all to do with Brexit, we havent even leaved EU

Its the excuse to make stuff cost more money and stupid consumers will blame themselves

The pound has crashed because of Brexit thats a fact and the cost has been passed onto the consumer, it doesnt matter that we havnt actually left the EU yet.

I voted for Brexit so i dont care for the extra cost.

Would this be a noticeable upgrade over my Nexus 7 2013 edition?

After reading all the reviews on this and the fact that the new Nexus 7 is only a myth, I bit the bullet and replaced my cracked 2013 N7. I purchased from Amazon for the return option.

For the money it's unbeatable, great quality, expandable storage - a massive improvement all round - and now with latest Android 7 Nougat OS.
