£100 quidco on o2 Pay Monthly Sim Only 12 Month Deal

800 Mins
1600 Texts + Free Bolt on from either;

Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Web Bolt on
Unlimited weekend calls
Unlimited landline calls
Unlimited Wi-fi
200 Extra Anytime minutes

I been looking for the N97 for the last month but after getting the 12m contract from mobiles.co.uk posted here, had to cancel since they do not port to vodafone.
I am in O2 simplicity and I'm gambling with the quidco and buy the phone off e-bay, works out cheaper than a contract with N97 atm.

Anyway, hope it will help someone ...the risk loving people ;-))

-----[ Quidco Tracking ]--------------------------

After making the order, the tracking on Quidco won't appear until the next day (or a bit more) afterwards.

Once it does track, it will show as £23.33. DO NOT PANIC! This is normal and will change to the correct amount of £100 when it gets validated within a month or so.

- Cuddy

-----[ Porting in your current phone number ]---------------

Spammy has emailed O2 who have confirmed that you can bring an existing number in (via PAC code) at any time during your contract and not just during the first 14 or 30days as some had originally guessed.

- Cuddy

-----[ Changing your selected bolt on after your contract has started ]----

Taksim_Red has done some digging around in O2's T&Cs and has found that you are allowed to switch between any of the available bolt on options once every 90 days.

- Cuddy

-----[ Why is my first bill more than £19.85? ]---------------

This is because O2 like to have roughly entire calendar months for their billing system. This means that if, for example, you received your sim card 7 days before the end of the month, your first bill will work out pro-rata 1month + 7days. The exact figure will vary of course but the important thing is that you now know why it's higher than advertised.

I did this when it was £110 for the same deal. Was thinking exactly the same as OP as I spent a fortune on web browsing and wanted a decent phone. I'm now looking to change my bolt on and get a wifi mobile! It's a good deal and I did eventually get my £110 cashback (which should be coming to my bank account any day now, that was 4 months ago).
I did this with a pay as you go too and got £23 so I don't think the cashback is limited. Good if you can wait it out.

They also let you switch it to the Blackberry Bolt on

Hi Does anyone on ere know if you can port a O2 PAYG to simplicity deal?

thanks in adv,

What are the differences between the two cashbacks offered?

£35 for 12 month Simplicity Sim Only & 18/24 month PAYM contracts (excl. iPhone)
£100 for a 12 month contract SIM Only

Sounds like either could apply to 12m Simplicity contracts? Otherwise how would I select a 12 month contract SIM only?

I'm guessing you have to phone them up after you've ordered to request this right? I ask since the option isn't there in the Bolt-on drop down list...

How long do you think the £100 quidco will last for? Tempted, I'm on a rolling contract with T-Mobile so I can cancel that and move over to O2...
#9
Seems a pretty good deal
#10
I think the £35 could be for 12month 15p/m or other contract because at quidco site says that is 5 months free => the £19.58 p/m fits that description.

of course you can upgrade to 12 months simplicity from payg given a decent credit history !!

in my opinion deal (o2 simplicity 1month contract with nokia 2630 free) from dial a phone with 50gbp cashback is better you can sell phone for 20gbp so you receive 70gbp in cash after 2 months, you pay 40gbp for contract so leaving extra 30gbp in pocket and you have no tie for 12 months only 2 months to receive cashback from DAP and possible you can chnage form unlimited texts to one from bolt ons but only 600mins instead of 800
#13
I went for the sim only 30 day rolling contract with 600 minutes, 1200 texts and a choice of bolt on (went for the unlimited landlines calls) for the same price and this knocked off a fiver to bring my 20MB broadband with them down to £9.79 a month.

Web is the GPRS and 3G data on the go and Wifi is free access to Cloud Hotspots in London and other busy places, so most likely Web Bolt On is what you need

HOT HOT HOT!!!

Im on a rolling monthly contract with them for £20/month with 600mins, 600 txts and free web bolt-on and £50 quidco and another £40 through dial a phone. Works out at £12.50/month over 12 months.

I didn't want to be tied down for 12 months as I want to get the N97 or iPhone when prices come down.

Deal still available here... http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/437492/o2-sim-2-month-contract-600mins-ult/

When you receive the new sim, call them and they'll transfer you over. Simple.

Went for the £120 O2 quidco deal about 5 months ago - got paid last month, so worth it from me. Will look at this one for the wife...

Good question! All I know is my sim was activated automatically the evening on the day I received it.

Works out at £11.24 a month after factoring the £100 Quidco. Great deal!
#32
Great, got my iphone last month on PAYG, and was going to get simplicity, Quidco was only 35 i think back then.

Just ordered.

Thanks H&R:thumbsup:
#33
this is beautiful
#34
How late in the process can you port your number over? Is it only on ordering or can I port 2 months or so in?
#35
Does anybody know if you can get that family bolt on included in the free bolt on you get. Its not on the drop down menu but can you phone them up and change it?
#36
Damn! I ordered 1 month ago and only got £35... :?
#37
This does look great... the 'overrun' call charges look pricey:
- UK voice calls - 19.6p / min if u go over 800 mins. Seems a bit more than usual given that's 19.6p to both O2 and landlines I assume.

Tempting as I'm stuck on evil Orange with an archaic handset at the moment. Sick of 18 and 24 month contracts when handsets physically won't last that long.

Where can you get an iphone on PAYG?

This O2 website is truly horrendously organised!

Guys, ive been using an 02 simplicity contract (this one!) for months now. Do you only get quido at the start and is it too late now? :(

Yes, you'd need to have browsed to O2's website from Quidco before purchasing. :(
