As I already have a simplicity sim and broadband I'll give this a go. A saving of £7 odd if this works. Hot from me. Thanks!

It would appear that you have to call up O2 for this deal and they'll manually adjust the options...so no quidco. I cannot confirm the above as I haven't yet called, just my understanding from reading the OPs post...
#7
I called up O2 for this deal so I'm unsure as to quidco being applied to this deal, I added the number I called to the original post to get this deal in the first place.

Hopefully this helps.
#8
Can anyone confirm if this apply to existing PAYG and Home Broadband customers?

Just gone for this and am on o2 broadband, well pleased.

I wasn't being offered the broadband, the lady said to me it was 7 quid odd extra. You have to ask to speak to the web sales team to get it free.
#11
Seems like a pretty good deal.
What's the deal with the broadband?
I presume it's mobile broadband?

It will be the o2 Home Broadband @ Standard subscription level on your home/BT landline - ie ONLY available in those areas where your exchange has the Be/o2 LLU equipment in them. It is a SUPERB service giving upto 8Mbps and no hassles at all - I've been on it for 19 months with zero regrets.

I keep tabs of all the Be & o2 broadband services - latest document/comparison/costs/features at:
http://cid-99aa6cf1226facfe.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/o2%20Broadband%20-v-%20Be%20There%20Broadband

June is the last month in o2's parent Telefonica's financial half-year so probably a promotion to boost figures in advance of that half-year-end.

Hi

Anyone been able to get the BB as well?

I guess you need a BT line at home to have the BB? I'm on Virgin Media...so not sure if I can have the Broadband?
#18
I phoned O2, using the number in OP, and I was told in order to get this offer I would have to cancel my existing O2 Broadband and then ring them again to get the offer.

Could be hot but seems like a lot of bother.

Im with Virgin but thinkin off leaving. I dont have a bt line my mum does but she uses it for her sky broadband so I cant use hers.

Would I have to have a bt line installed for my use before I can order this e,g ask them to install the broadband after I get bt line installed???? not sure what to do yet, going to phone vm retensions if they dont give me a good deal I might be off..
#20
You have two broadband connections in the same house? Why?
#21
This is pretty hot ... if you don't want to use quidco this seems better:

In a similar position as me. Yes, you would need to have a second BT landline installed and then call O2.

Check MSE website as there's a deal running until Sept 2009, whereby if you sign a 18mth contact and make at least 10 calls a month, BT will install a new or a second line for free (normally approx. £125!)

Hope that helps?

o2 won't do anything to stop you leaving! Before I moved house I was on 600mins unlimited texts unlimited data simplicity for £20. I moved and had no o2 signal which was pointless so swapped to Voda. I've now moved back and most I can get is 1200 texts for that price, without taking out a 12 month contract. Sigh. :(
#24
Aren't Quidco giving £100 on 12 months simplicity? :?

Aren't Quidco giving £100 on 12 months simplicity? :?

Yes, they are...BUT as has already been mentioned you'll need to phone O2 up in order to get the free upto 8MB broadband deal and so will no doubt miss out on the Quidco?

When I took out my iPhone 3G contract last year, phoned up O2 to port over my number from a Simplicity deal (thought it would be smoother transition) and asked if they could still let me have the Quidco cashback? Woman on the other end said she had never heard of Quidco!

Hmmmmmm, I'm already on an O2 Simplicity deal, £20 a month with 1000 texts, 800mins plus unlimited data. I also have O2 broadband at £7.50 a month. If I call them up will they knock the Broadband down to nothing?
#27
This "might" be a good deal for those of you who don't like Quidco BUT considering the fact that O2 are currently offering £100 Quidco for the 12 month Simplicity contract PLUS a further £50 Quidco + 2 months free subscription for online Home Broadband sign ups. That means signing up online through Quidco beats this deal by a whopping £75!!

the OP says that it was available for one month only and the post was made in june

does anyone know whether its still available? to quidco or not to quidco that is the question :w00t:
#30
is the broadband 12months free or 3 months free or 1 month free ???

this offer is missing the big details here,

im already with O2 didnt offer me nothing when my 12month bb contract was up,

plus this is old
#31
op how long of the contracted period of the broadband do you recieve the broadband for free...as mentioned the big details are mising
#32
really expired? no reason
#33
this is the only other deal close to the above one without the boardband,
http://shop.o2.co.uk/simplicity-12

plus the quidco
#34
Coo. What gives - 20 pages of posts disappeared and it expired 5 days early...? :-|
