Also existing customers, if they can call their retentions department and just ask for it...they throw it in for free.....including a free wireless router....

For those who aren't aware:

o2 STANDARD home broadband is the "upto 8Mbps" service via o2 "local loop unbundled" ie where o2 have their kit at your exchange so NOT at every exchange by any means.

It's a QUALITY service - been on it myself for 20 months now with no regrets whatsoever.

If you ALREADY have o2 mobile contract then you can BUY o2 Standard for 1 year+ at a net cost for the first year of just £23.40 currently - ie £7.34/m for 12m less 2m free less £50 quidco cashback = net £23.40 for 1yr service (ie just £1.95/month); then £7.34/m ongoing.

I've been on O2 broadband for approximately a year paying £2.50 per month. It's due to expire next month and the price will go up to £7.50.

If O2 don't offer me a good deal, I'd be tempted to re-apply through Quidco to get the cashback.

Has anyone re-negotiated after completing the one-year contract to get a similar price?

Can't see it on the O2 website link, is this just a telesales deal?

Remember, O2 have restricted their tariffs to 18 month and 2 year contracts, unlike other mobile networks, who still offer 1 year contracts, with the ability to upgrade before that year is finished. I've found O2 service and support generally good.

As long as it isn't the unbundled (non-llu) Access package. Have had the access package for 12 days now, will be canceling within my 30 day cooling off period because the service is terrible. Just google o2 access speed.

If it is just LLU, then great that should ber just fine - unfortunately our exchange isn't unbundled and there are no plans to do so.

I am thinking of going to ADSL 24 or Vispa, any suggestions for a decent ISP appreciated.

o2 are great, good fast service and best of all UK CALL CENTRE.

When i was setting up equipment had a problem with email account which they sorted out in a couple of minutes unlike Orange who i dumped after getting fed up talking to people who struggled with the English language.

LOL, 3rd world slumdog call centres
