This uses the tried and tested Refresh deal method.
The phone can be had for £0 up front and the equivalent of £9 per month on the £32 per month airtime option.
Take delivery of the phone, then call and pay it off, and cancel the airtime agreement.
Can't see them lasting long at this price, so be quick!

Interested in this. Never been with o2 and not sure on how you go through with it. I understand you choose the 5 gb plan for 32 a month. But unsure why u only pay 215 to cancel the contract straight away I understand that represents the phone cost but what about the 24 month contract you just signed when u agreed to the t and cs

It's really simple - there is a clause within the T&CS that if you pay off the 'Phone' plan you can subsequently cancel the Airtime with no obligation to pay the remainder. It basically automatically becomes a 30-day rolling contract as soon as you pay off the phone. If you cancel within a day or two the most you can expect to pay of the 'Airtime' is a pro-ratad amount based on how many days you had the SIM. SO if your Airtime is £13 a month break that down over the 3 days you had the SIM and you should only get charged a few pence.

Looks like the phone is coming in and out of stock...I've got one in my basket, just checking out now..
Keep refreshing or going back to it if you want one, you could be lucky.

You think it will come back in stock soon as the same price?
#17
I think it's been in and out of stock most of the day

If this does come back into stock. When do you cancel the contract. Once you receive your phone? Do you get them to unlock the phone First?
#19
Yeah, just put the order in for the unlock code, then call and pay the phone off and cancel the airtime. It's all quite painless.
I got a lumia 1020 earlier in the year on a similar deal and it couldn't have been easier.

Thanks for your help. I often find this community to be quite helpful and friendly. I will keep an eye for stock.

How do you find out the cost of the phone? Am wondering if you can apply the same deal to the galaxy s5?
#22
I understand how the O2 refresh thing works.

Q: Is there any chance, that cancelling airtime, will impact on my credit score/record?

No - because you're settling the finance on the phone immediately - and they're terminating the agreement for the airtime.

back in stock, white only!

Quick question:

I don't want to put any sim in the phone yet, but I want O2 to unlock it.

Did anyone else find a way to do this,

Libertas
