No the package is o2 home broadband with optional bolt-on of o2 Home Phone.
The £back sites offer 50/70/90 for the o2 home broadband and it's upto you if you think the o2 Home Phone is worth bolting on (at list price).

Best studying the most recent thread on o2 Home Broadband (which you MUST HAVE) to take o2 Home Phone as a bolt-on, at:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/661202/o2-home-broadband-7-50-p-m-mobile-c

The o2 Home Broadband "LLU" exchanges are the c1250 of them that offer you Standard/Premium/Pro subscriptions - all of which come with their first 3m free, and which as mentioned above can be had with £back of £50/70/90 by going via the £back sites eg Quidco and TopCash Back.

o2 Home Broadband LLU is excellent. Whether o2 Home Phone has ANY benefit for you will depend almost entirely on your call pattern, and whether (if you are close to end of contract) whether you can get eg BT to match them as many have reported over on the MoneySavingExpert site Phone area.

You may find my o2 home broadband/net-cost spreadsheet after those £backs/freebies, £5/m discount and comparison of o2 home phone to others useful - they are all PDFs online at

a 2.5yr o2 Home BB Std subscriber (who recently went for PO Home Phone instead of o2 Home Phone, but I'm 6m into my latest 12m+ commitment to o2 home BB and had no interest in starting a fresh one - as o2 Home Phone itself has a 12m commitment and as a "bolt-on" REQUIRES o2 Home BB ).

Thanks for the clarification, MKD.

There are quite a lot of O2 home phone listings, including this one http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/672014/o2-home-phone-now-live-subject-to-h

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/659720/o2-home-phone-9-50p-m-free-evening-

Read them all, as there are terms and conditions connected, incl you can't cancel and switch broadband providers, eg. to get more cashback, and some calls aren't cheaper

Useless if you cant get O2 llu if your offered O2 Access at £17 odd quid a month then run away,avoid like the plague.

apologies if this is a silly Q...
Do we need a BT line to get this deal and is BB > 10MB?

o2 Home Broadband REQUIRES a BT based phoneline, though you could be paying the rental to another firm.

o2 Home Phone just piggy backs on that Broadband service. They do NOT move you away from the BT based phoneline simply take over rental/call charges.

o2 Home Broadband offers 3 Be/o2 LLU packages, and 1 resold BTw ADSLmax = "Access"
The latter is a regular upto 8Mbps service and NOT recommended by many.
The former LLU packages
Standard = modem capped at 8Mbps ADSL2+ Annex A
Premium = modem uncapped ADSL2+ Annex A (upto 24Mbps down, 1.4Mbps up)
Pro = modem uncapped ADSL2+ Annex M (upto 24Mbps down, 2.5Mbps up)
ALL dependent on how good/short your phoneline is - ie for the MAX speeds you need essentially to be able to see your phone exchange - so around 5kms away I am at 4.0-4.5Mbps, ie Standard territory.

Otherwise as I/others have said read through the most recent threads on o2 Home BB and/or o2 Home Phone.
