Can't see any better than this at the moment.

Rolling 30 day contract with 500MB per month and access to the regular O2 bonus of BT Openzone WiFi. The dongle costs £19.99 but you can get back £22.50 from Cashback Kings on "all other monthly contracts". Pretty good for those who don't use so much, maybe even for iPad users too? Plus if you don't like it, cancel - no 18 or 24 month contract.

For any who vote cold, could you point me toward something better before I sign up to this?

Thanks!

For very occasional use, i.e.weekends away within the UK. Get an unlocked mobile dongle. Obtain a T-Mobile SIM and choose one of the following internet boosters. Alternatively, buy one of their PAYG phones that has free 6 months internet. I know you are not supposed to use the SIM cards as a modem but I have used this method successfully after my 6 month free internet with the o2 iPhone SIM ran out :p

Boosters

PAYG starting from £19.99 plus £10 top up

I will be using the Euro Internet booster on my hols :) I must have saved a fortune on rip off hotel internet access

How long have you been using it and is it still going?

Bought a T-Mobile PAYG phone with 6 months free at the end of May. Been using the free internet on a phone almost everyday and have used the SIM in the dongle at least a dozen times - for at least an hour a go - still going strong!

Thanks for replying. All of those are luck-of-the-draw or somehow hacks, not a simple straightforward deal intended for those of us who don't want to circumvent any rules. This deal just seems more straightforward to me, unless I'm missing the point but I don't want to pay £20 for T-Mobile or whoever to cut me off for going against the terms of service really.

I can understand that - I would only recommend my method of access for occasional use. But if you wanted mobile broadband always on then go for contract. I have home broadband but I just do not want to pay for internet access whilst I am away from home or even at work.
