oh isn't this the same offer as back to about a month ago?
#2
Yeah but the dongle is now cheaper.
#3
I wonder if quidco really pays out these high amounts? Same for broadband £50 with the 2 months free? Offer says only one discount can be applied. I doubt they'll pay. Has anyone actually received full quidco cashback plus the freebies?
#4
Do you know if the topups have a timelimit?
#5
They do cause i posted the original post and got my money back. Here is the thread and also on the later pages you will see that people got there money as well. :)

Time limited PAYG ... not for me. I want to put some credit on it and know I can use it whenever.

Quidco Get £29.67 cashback on the PAYG Mobile Broadband Dongle (£14.67), when you top-up £15.

quidco has been reduced

Just saw that. when i went on it was the higher price, must just have changed it there now. to compensate for the reduction in the price of the dongle
#11
Why is this cold??
I got this offer when it was £29.35 for the dongle with £40 quidco. It said you had to top up £15 but I never did and still got yhe £40 cash back from quidco.

Even if you top up the £15 you still get a profit of £14.67, possibly £29.67 without topping up and sell on fleabay, how can you go wrong? even if you just through it in the bin??
#12
Yes they do,
since Jan I have had £70 for the home broadband (My Daughter got it also)
£23.50 for the O2 sim only 1 month contract for my wife & my daughter & myself
£35 for upgrade to Iphone 18 month contract for myself

Thats £245.50 now received in quidco and paid into my bank from O2 to date.

Now I have just ordered upgrade for my daughter & wife to O2 12 month sim only contract £19.58 / month (800 mins + 1600 txts + unlimited o2 to o2 calls)
Each with £100 quidco so if gets payed out like all others have works out to be £11.25 / month.
#13
how can this be cold! No pleasing some people!
#14
Don't forget the dongle is usually unlocked from O2 - and you could buy an iPhone sim pack from ebay, top up once and get their broadband for a year bolt-on.

Indeed, still using mine - yet to be given any kind of warning/threat from O2 either.
#16
Is anyone getting through?
I keep getting a
"Sorry, this area of o2.co.uk isn't currently available."
when I click through quidco.

How come mate?
#22
I was the orignal post for this and i can confrim you get your money back from o2. others on the original post have got there money back so to say avoid and not give a reason is a bit pointless.

Do you use yours for browsing or do you download aswel? is there a fair usage limit and if so do you know what that actually is?

A bit of both, though only when away from a landline connection, so certainly not a frequent heavy user.

i tried a few minutes ago it took all my details just about to order then it said timeout and cut me off.
#28
I bought one of these when I saw the deal, at first also kept getting the "this O2 page not available right now", so left it a bit and came back.

Ordered one and as I'm on O2 contract anyway just used my username/password for details, all went through and seemed to be fine....will get it tomorrow before 7pm

HOWEVER.... now had a message from them that it is still be processed and if I pass their checks (which is a bit weird as it's PAYG) it should be with me within 5days, I think they just got swamped :whistling:
#29
Just updated post above to reflect the reduced Quidco. still a great deal though & note : when I ordered this a couple of moths ago I did not top up & still got quidco paid, see below.

Date Merchant Amount Earnings Status Payment Date
09 Mar 2009 09:14:54 O2 29.95 40.00 paid 28 May 2009

Just ordered mine. For the people who say its not worth it because of the time limit, it works out to a free dongle and a free month's browsing so I don't see why this would be cold even if you never used it again. That's my logic anyway. Heat from me.
#31
already bought 2 of these dongles from 02 online. tried today to buy 1 more would let me put my details down then when i pressed submit cancelled my order. it said call customer services to buy which i phoned he told me i could buy over the phone but not thru quidco or topcashback. anybody else had this problem.

Anyone know of any other mobile broadband provider that gives out mobile broadband sims? it seems pointless to get this unless you want o2 even though its unlocked. Vodafone has 1GB for £15 but never expires so great for users who will use it on the odd trip, but its only available with the Vodafone dongle which is £45 or whatever quidco offers.

I've bought this deal, the 1month topup will cover me for my summer holidays and a couple of weekends away.

I've also bought an iphone sim off ebay for £3.49, £10 top-up might give me 12months free internet
I've also got a free Three sim (apply off their website) and a £10 top-up (never expires) can then be used to buy 1day @ 50p, 1week @ £2.50 etc etc as and when you need it.
Alternatively you could get a Vodafone sim, top-up £15 (never expires) and just use it when you need it, not sure but i think the per/mb cost at Voda is slightly higher but i suppose it's horses for courses . I'm cover until the end of Aug, after that it's the iPhone sim, if that fails i'm on Three

My dongle was delivered unlocked and cashback appeared within 48hrs :)
#35
Does anyone know if these can be used abroad say USA for example. Obviously you would need to use a operator over there but just wondering if the same dongle could be used.

heat added by the way. Works out free for a month so cant go wrong!
#36
Purchased the half price dongle at £14.67 from O2 a couple of days ago. Yet to receive the dongle but I can see it being tracked through DHL.

Today I noticed the following entries on my Quidco account:

£29.67 from O2 tracked on 31/07/2009
£3.50 from O2 tracked on 31/07/2009

I shall top up the unit when I receieve it and see if any further cashback gets given.

Whats with the 3.50?
