O2 PAYG mobile broadband £20.00 + £35 Quidco casback

O2 dropped a price for PAYG mobile broadband dongle - it's now £20. To get £35 cashback from Quidco you need to top up for £15 in first 30 days. Ot means you can get it practically for free (20+15 -35). All top ups include unlimited access to over 7500 Wi-Fi hotspots in the UK.

Be gentle on me - it's my first post

Less than gentle response

A Dongle and £15 credit for £0 is crap ? I can see who needs to get real.

Bstus - Thanks for posting, unfortunately it has already been posted a couple of times already though including yesterday when the dongle was only £10 when bought with a 50p sim card. Don't be put off from posting deals again though the idiots are in the minority here.

no O2 are terrible for 3g in most places overall, any other network beats O2 hands down:thumbsup:

My o2 signal for HSPDA is non existent then low then lower then gone again.

pity the allowance expires after a day/week/month. I rarely use mine, but on Vodafone your credit is available until it runs out, no time restrictions at all. Shame on o2....

Cold! This is available for £10 if you buy a sim for 50p

It depends as Quidco may not be so good with that deal.

Why? it's tracking for that thread & It's still 'Mobile Broadband PAYG' Thus £35 payout after the first topup within 30 days...
#16
quidco site says; £10 for "TopUp and Go" Mobile Broadband. so i think it's expired. Till now it said £35 cashback, requires top up within 30 days, validates after TWO months. Does that mean, if you don't top up in month 2 you won't get cashback?

Fair point but this is 'mobile' broadband so you should take relative mobility into consideration IMO and compared to all other networks O2's coverage isn't so great. There is a sweatner however in form of the WiFi hotspot access. There may be one closer than you think!

Thanks, my mums was looking to buy one of these :)

they have now refused my order for the black one 4 times using 4 different bank cards with plenty of fund$. So my house must be blacklisted--- fn muppets.

It means you should top up within the 1st 30 days to get cashback in month 2. This means the deal I refered to a few posts back will net you £10 profit. if you top-up £15 in the first 30 days, whereas this deal breaks even. (asuming quidco pays out.. which you shouldn't!) :whistling:

that's why O2 is the worst 3g network on the market, all the other networks seem to be o.k, i know people say "you only get what you pay for" so i asume that O2 are selling cheaper because they are the bottom end of the 3g networks, O2 are good for a normal phone signal but not 3g, sorry O2 fans

Vodafone now expires after 30 days:

O2 came out on top overall in tests done within the centre of London. This doesn't mean O2 is best overall, but just because YOU don't get a decent O2 signal doesn't mean it's therefore the worst.

I have stayed with O2 because their 3G signal is the best in the area I live and work. Orange signal is poor, T-Mobile is non-existent if I go indoors and Vodafone was unreliable.

Why do you say O2 is the worst? Is it because they are officially known as the worst by hundreds of tests, or because you don't get a very good signal?

You know which the best network is? The one you get a good signal with. There is no 'best' or 'worst' network, because everyone will have different experiences with each one.

Apologies for the rant, but when people make statements like 'this is crap because I said it is' are either trolling or mindless simpletons.

This deal has been on for last 15 days.
When I posted the same deal above almost 2 weeks ago it was voted COLD ( -74) by these same people who are voting this deal HOT.Questions were raised that if the cashback does not track and so on.
What happened now. Is everyone convinced that it will track now with quidco.
Any explaination esp asking those guys who voted this deal cold.?
#26
I bought one of these for when I am working away. I topped it up 2 or 3 times and then didnt need it again for about 5 months. When I went to use it, when I needed it, It was disabled.

Unless you top up regularly, this item isnt great.

I should also add, that when i used it near Fort William on an O2 hotspot I got about 56k speeds. When i used it in London, not on a hotspot but from the dongle, I got about 120k speeds and that was at Kings Cross. They boasted 3mb speeds to me when I bought it but failed to say that was only at a few particular hot spots
#27
I use an o2 dongle for my night shifts and its only £2 for 24hours.

Thanks

I've been with O2 for 10+ months and I can't be happier. 3G and HSDPA everywhere I've been too (home, work, hotel,...etc).

Cold

I have one of these.

- Cashback hasn't tracked (and earnings enquiry not yet validated)

- Hugely variable signal (by contrast, my o2 mobile always picks up an excellent signal from the same location)

- 02 install a sh1ty connection manager. Every time I close/reopen my netbook it takes ages for the thing to reestablish. There might be a way around this... someone let me know if there is.

Totally agree. Very happy with O2 for phone and 3g coverage but then I am using it in central London. Looked into getting a 3G dongle with O2 but the payment plan did not suit me. I want infrequent use without my prepay credit expiring or being Day/Week/Month limited. The Vodafone prepay dongle suits my needs much better.
#32
I have bought these before and not topped up at all (used other SIM cards to use the dongle as it is not locked). I still got the Quidco. If Quidco tracks you can buy and bin and still make a profit. The connection software is rather clunky and takes some getting used to, but it has enabled me to connect in the UK and overseas (not using an O2 SIM) and does work pretty well once one has the hang of it.
The main advtange of these seems to be the Quidco and the fact that they are unlocked.

mumbojumbo
Ignore me. You'd only be more miserable with it anyway.

I did try with existing account made no difference tried again same thing. I think it's Co's I went thru quidco as the previous offer for cashback was 1 per household however cannot find that stipulation on current offer.

I just want the black one :lol ...Should be unlocked as well. 1 of my mates ordered 1 for me however I will also try again to order another as a spare this time withotu quidco page.

Anyone got a cure for a zte dongle or an e160g randomly locking computer(laptop) studio 1555 up using Three3 sim/ connection manager , standard dial up also crashes so it has to be hardware/driver/s related. Vista 32/ windows 7 (32) can be after 1 minute can be 30 minutes whilst connected just random lock ups and you have to badly shutdown laptop.

Tried all usb ports with psu in

I think this is still £10.00 instore.
30 days to take it back if you are not satisfied

I had a Vodafone dongle and couldnt even get 56kb out of it so i think thats c******er !!

Seems like all the networks have their weak areas , however i tried my vodafone dongle at my sisters and fathers and neither achieved much more than dial up speed !
#36
Just put it into my basket and it came up as £10
#37
Quidco down to £20 :x
#38
Cold. Picked one up earlier for ten pound in store. May not be getting cash back; but from experience quidco doesn't pay out too well when it comes to o2 anyway. I may not have £15 credit, but I have no signal from o2 where I am anyway. For those interested, t-mobile have a deal giving 6 months internet for £20.

Last time I checked these could also be picked up for £10 online when brought with a sim for those insistent on getting their cash back; but it's now only £20 so not as good a deal as it would have been before it dropped.

Given that the cashback is in parity; the deal he posted is always £5 better. That's why this is cold. He's such an ******* for pointing that out. God forbid anybody should save themselves £5!:whistling:
