Most people haven't got their points yet but some have, and the rest should have them soon enough.

Quidco also offer £5 but you have to topup with £15.

EDIT: Most have now had their points, many without having to chase them up, although they took a bit longer than the 31 days they say in the t&c.

You have to click through from the Nectar site, similar to quidco/topcashback.

can i use o2 simplicity sim with this?

Most probably, they're unlocked but that wouldn't be a problem anyway as it's an o2 sim.

Some people got their points and there's no reason to assume everyone else won't get their points as well. I've always got points from Nectar, not within the 31 days they say, but quicker than tcb or quidco pay out.

Anyway this is a deal at £10 so no reason to vote cold on the Nectar side of things.

i was at an o2 store on oxford street wednesday night and they were advertising them for £10 there

Not as generous as Jan, though it hardly matters if you don't get the points - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/590511/o2-payg-mobile-broadband-dongle-for 3750 points

Nectar link here, if anyone has problems for this dealhttp://www.nectar.com/collect-online/retailer/o2/offer/o2-jan-mobilebb.points

I've just rang a store to check, they confirm instore price is £20,I said online its showing at half price £10? He said their instore price is different, their normal price is £30 and their instore computer shows a price of £20 at the moment
#19
They're £10 when bought with a phone instore I believe.
#20
Good price!
#21
Was just about to purchase this when I remembered how patchy O2's 3g coverage is.
#22
Wouldn't you be able to use it with another 3G sim card, as I believe the dongle itself is unlocked?
#23
hmmmmm.......

They are cheap for a reason, because they perform the worst among all mobile broadband, if you dont believe me, read the latest computer mag about the mobile broadband speed test... can't remember if it was PC pro or some other mag.
#25
surely it must be half decent? i checked and my area is covered with hspda or whatever its called so i should get a decent speed. will this work on ubuntu? plan would be to use it on netbook to stream live sports whilst at uni cs the wifi is firewalled :(

Some might have, but a significant amount of people didn't and I'm one of them. The points are not guaranteed on this offer so take that in to consideration. I bought because of the points, I still got a dongle for £10 which was a good deal.

An alternative if you are willing to risk cashback is to go through quidco and select o2 business. Buy teh dongle for £25 and get a £15 months top up =£40 and then get £40 back from the cash back. Works out as a free dongle and one month free use. Cashback isn't always reliable.
#29
Is there a big difference between E160 and E169 dongoolies, as i recall broadband speed on E160 quite sluggish.
#30
Can somebody please tell me if I can use it as wi-fi dongle for my wireless network.
I tried with no success, it was looking for some adapter which I was not sure, how to install.
#31
I bought one last time and nectar points have never arrived! :( But its a good deal if somebody got them! Voted hot

A friend moved and has one of these with an O2 SIM in it while he's waiting for Sky to install various stuff... he's not happy :whistling:

Streaming TV would use your allowance up pretty quick (for a mobile connection anyway).
Have you tried HTTP tunnelling?
#33
Anyone know a better Sim to put in one of these? The unlocked bit is the best thing about the dongle ;)
#34
bought two last time... but no points...

won't be buying another one! - didn't bother voting, neither hot or cold

I spent a lot of time a month ago looking at all the various options for pay as you go internet, and by far the best was Vodafone.
£25 and you get £15 of credit that doesn't have a time limit on it.
So for occassional use it's perfect. I got one for my father in law, whose probably used about 50p this month.

This is their ebay page (if ebay is allowed on here):
http://*********.co.uk/Vodafone-Pay-As-You-Go-Mobile-Broadband-USB-Modem-1GB_W0QQitemZ190378926395QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_LaptopAccessories_PCMCIACards?hash=item2c5377e13b

and note:
Topping up You can buy £15 TopUps from any Vodafone Retail store or many other retailers.
£15 will get you 1GB of data. No time pressure – Your TopUp won’t run out after 30 days.
#36
Unlimited WI-FI what does that mean? surely if your using wifi its someone else's bandwidth and it wouldnt even register at O2 anyhow. So why are they acting like they are giving you something?
#37
Ha - no, it's not allowed!
Item number: 190378926395

Don't understand the problem with pointing people at vodafones ebay shop to save them a few quid....surely what this site is supposed to be about?
#38
Most people did NOT get any nectar points last time, so be aware of this scam of them to dump old usb modems on the market.
#39
I haven't received any nectar points as yet (sounds like I'm not going to). However I did manage to fleebay it off for a few quid profit.
#40
Didn't get my Nectar points on the last deal either, supposed to have got 3750 points, order was placed on 23rd Jan.
