O2 PAYG Text&Web - £15.00 topup gets UNLIMITED TEXTS & WEB - Exisiting or new customers

I just found out about this and thought it was great! The current (old?) 'Free Texts' O2 PAYG tariff was £10 topup for 300 txts, £20 for 500 and £30 for Unlimited texts, all with 1MB of free internet. You can now change tariff to the new 'Text & Web' tariff, which gives the same text benefits, but also with UNLIMITED internet.

However, it gets BETTER. Change Tariff before 31st Jan and your tariff will give you UNLIMITED TEXTS for £10-14 top-up and UNLIMITED TEXTS AND INTERNET for £15 topup! (The allowance counts for 1 calendar month after you top-up).

Great deal I think - considering what you have to pay for contracts with 'unlimited' data allowances and texts!

On top of this remember you can also get O2 treats, O2 Rewards and O2 Surprises with each top-up!

Just call 2202 from your O2 phone to find out more and change tariff!

FYI: 'unlimited' in this deal is 12,000 texts a month and 500MB data. (FYI: Orange 'unlimted' data allowance for iPhone is 750mb, so this is amazing for PAYG!)

The only down side I can see with this is that on the 'old' tariff you were given 12,000 'messaging units' which could be used for text messages or picture message (pic message used 3 credits), but this new tariff specifically says that the allowance DOESN'T include picture messages. But with free web you can use e-mail or online MMS services anyway :-)

Kind of, the 4 free sims are already signed up to this tariff. However, the tariff is available for everyone on any O2 tariff already as you can switch an existing sim by called 2202.

it isnt new news for new customers, but o2 refused to port my number over to another o2 payg sim ..... as an existing customer, so now we get the deals that are usually reserved for "brand new customers only!"

GOOD TIMES:)

I am using this deal at the moment, however I don't like the speed - youtube doesn't work! And I can't use the internet on my laptop (using my phone as a modem) like I used to be able to with 3.

Anyway I see T-mobile are continuing their 'what would you do with free text for life?' by adding unlimited internet to the mix. Still only £10 per month (PAYG) and has fair usage policy of 40mb per today, which translates to 1200mb for the month, not sure on the texts. They have some 30 day-wait thing going on, don't understand it, check their conditions:

(Free sim too)

The T-mobile deal is better as it is £10.
FYI, the text 'limit' is no more than 100 contacts per month.
I guess they want to weed out businesses who text alerts to hundreds of people.

...and t-mobile don't like you using instant messengers (!) on their web-n-walk
