Hmm, well I top up £10 a month and get 300 free texts to anybody. So that part of the deal isn't so great.

Yes but once you text over 300 you will get charged so why not so good?

For me personally, I never come close to using that many anyway. :)

Because it's 300 texts to any network rather than unlimited texts to just o2 mobiles. I'd rather have the 300!

This is a good deal if your family and friends are on O2 but if there not then it can work out quite expensive. Don't really know anyone on O2, I left them over 2 years ago.:whistling:

Not a great deal!

You can top up withe the £10 p/ to qualify for the 300 free texts to any network, and then use £5 of that £10 towards this http://www.o2-yournumbers.co.uk/020

That way you get 1000 free sms or minutes to ten of your 02 numbers and the 300 sms to any network! works a treat for me every month, and only costing a tenner!
#7
on this tarriff calls to people on other networks are reduced from 40ppm to 25ppm. on the free text tarriff calls to other networks are 40ppm. dunno........... depends on what calls you make.
#8
i pay £10 a month bolt on with o2 and thats unlimited texts to any mobile plus they have a treat this month i just chose 3 months of 15mins free calls.
#9
I receive 300 free texts to any network and have subscribe to O2 'Your Numbers' for £4.99 which offers me 1000 texts/minutes to 10 O2 numbers, which leaves me £5.01 to make calls. I largely text and only really call my girlfriend who is also on O2 which is very useful!
#10
Is there a FUP? (Fair usage policy) on how many texts you can send per month?

I'm currently on Orange and receive 300 any network texts, 600 orange to orange minutes and £5 worth of internet access for £10 and easily go over the 300 texts so this would be better if I got a sim for a few friends.
#11
yeah the FUP is 10,000 texts on unlimited. Also you get 1mb of internet usage with the Textanytime tariff and there is a bolt-on for £7.50 for unlimited web browsing which has a FUP of 200mb! considering 1Mb is £3 this is an excellent bolt-on.
if you want some free sims have a good here http://freesim.o2.co.uk/messages.php

Slightly off subject BUT.... I top up O2 with £10 per month, how do you get 300 free texts to anybody? Thanks
#13
Suppose you want to call someone and want to know if it will be free or not... how are you supposed to know if they are on O2?
#14
Does anyone know if this would work if you were overseas?

After you dial but before the phone rings you get a message saying "FREE CALL" if it will be free.
#17
Does this enable you to get advance tickets for concerts at the O2?
Been wanting to get an O2 payGo chip.

You need to have the 02genie/talkalot sim. If it's not registering your free texts i would definitely give 02 customer services a ring. You could even try emailing them, but not sure how quick they would be with regards to responding to you.

Right, that explains it. I had forgotten about those. You either get 100 minutes or 300 texts...
#21
so if you put the £15 on a month is that calling credit or do they effectivily take it for the payg tariff?
