any (owner) comments on this phone?
Can this be unlocked easily?
I used to work for o2's tech support team and sadly know from testing that this is an awful phone, as are all o2 handsets (barring XDAs). Sorry :(

Edit: the reasons being, the bluetooth is NOT full bluetooth - you can ONLY connect to a handsfree with this and you cannot pass ringtones/messages etc between other handsets. Very misleading as they don't state this clearly on the box, website or instore.

The screen is poor quality and the camera is only good in direct sunlight (useless indoors). The overall build is poor and connecting to a PC is a joke -the amount of people I had calling in saying the PC just didn't recognise the phone - I tried it out myself for hours on different PC's, laptops, using the drivers, writing custom fixes, but it just didn't work. There was also a well known but hush-hush problem with o2's OWN MMSC (the system o2 use to send MMS) meaning many users received blank media messages and it was unfixable without taking the phone to a store and getting it reflashed! (this might be fixed now, but it was typical of o2 at the time, incompatibility with their own brand handset!)

Personally I think there are much better phones around the £20 mark.
Its made by Benq-Siemens, although Siemens phones are not as good as they use to be IMO.
The Benq phone http://www.benq.com/

I'm sure this phone has been out for a very long time now!
The Camera is only 110K
Bluetooth only connects to handsfree and wont allow swapping of info.
Shop unlock only
I had the misfortune of being lent one of these when my other phone was in for repair, they are awful even for a spare backup phone. The buttons just dont feel right and as a whole the phone feels plasticky, it has the "heres one i made earlier" feel about it! The kids ones from pound shops feel better made than this!
Like somebody said earlier if you want a budget phone there are better for your money than this! To make this worth having the credit bundled with it would have to be equal or greater than the value of the phone. Ive just checked on envirofone and they give £4.58 cash or £5.26 Argos for these and i would say that is genorous!

However if you like novelty paperweights then you are laughing!

Could you recommend any? I was seriously considering this phone until I read that.
Ordered, voted hot. This is exactly what I was after, a cheap bluetooth phone I could put my cloned o2 sim in and leave in the glovebox to pick up handsfree calls! Thanks Millarcat!

P.S. I don't think the 5% voucher was accepted. It showed on the order but was not deducted from the final amount, but no biggie :)
my cloned o2 sim...

excuse my total ignorance but how did you get that and is it legal (apols if it shouldnt be a forum discussion topic!)
