Both my kids have these (ages 10 & 11) and they are great for kids as not to expensive, easy to use, not bad games either & a good price.

Is this signing up for an extra monthly contract or just a phone? My GF is on a simm only o2 contract for £15 a month but her phone has broken this morning so I'm looking to replace it.

Can I get this to do that?

Sorry for the possible stupid question but I'm very very tired today & seem to be getting confused easily!!

Cheers,
worto.

edit - it looks like I can just choose any of the pay & go plans but put our £15 a month sim in there instead - does this make sense?

I purchased this phone on Friday for my mother from Car phone warehouse. Because she is already on o2 the phone only was £19.52. I gave them my mothers phone number and they will issue her with £24 credit within 28 days. This equates to 10% of what she has topped up over 18 months.
Seems a nice easy phone to use with loads of gadgets on. Great value for money.

brill thanks for the info wanderer although I didn't quite get this bit?

Do you just mean that if I don't do anything with the sim that comes with it for 12 months it'll be disconnected? If so I'll just chuck it, I'm not planning on using it anyway.

I've ordered now anyway - have some rep :)

Not the best of raffle prizes - why not just stick it in a drawer? ;-)

Well done O2!

I ordered one of these yesterday online, after entering my card details and pressing the confirm button on there webpage the website took me to the wrong page and then went offline for about 5mins.
I spent over 2 hours and a lot of phone credit calling them (as the third person I spoke to told me I had to call an 0870 number) and they claim there was no order placed.
Despite the fact that the exact amount from 'O2 Buynet Online' is showing on my online statement and the CC company has given me the Auth Code and ID number, nobody at O2 can apparently confirm or check payments where there is no order number?
The only advice I was given was to wait and see what happens as it may be refunded or it may be delivered....great advice at this time of year!

Update - Called them again and agreed to place the order again with an online advisor....2nd payment now taken and due to a 'known problem' with ordering pay and go handsets online that they are working on, im now out of pocket twice and will have to wait upto 10 days for the payments to go back to my card and no order generated despite paying twice! So no phone and no money back straight away as the payments i made will be kept in a holding fund for 10 days before being refunded.

zeroHour2 - i dont know why you are haing so much problems with it. I ordered yesterday and its been delivered today morning.

Its brand new, with phone, charger, speakers and batteries. Can't go wrong at this price. Will cost me £5 in total once I sell simcard with £10 credit as I'm on contract.

Collected mine from DHL tonight - wife happy (applying the yorkshire effect, that means very happy). Very good deal - got phone, charger (mini size tip, funny shape, same as my dad's N95 8GB), speakers, sim. Add to that a £10 web top-up & you can add £14.58 (not £15) Quidco, £11.22 credit (£10 + 10% + vat adjustment, no adjustment on the 10%) & 10 free evening/weekend MMS (o2.co.uk/surprises).

yeah mine looks brand new too :)

my GF is very happy with it - I like it btter than my phone too - it's very slim.

Anyway I don't want to use the sim card is it best to give it away then when somone tops it up I'll get the £15 quidco or is it best to top it up myself get the quidco then sell teh sim card as an o2 sim card with £10 credit on it?

or shal I just bin it and be happy wiht the nice phone for 20 quid?

Cheers,
worto.
