Wrong. 3 is an excellent network for sim only unlimited data.

Don't know were you are getting your information from but3 has the best 3g signal out of all the networks.

As they say YMMV, I just got a 3sim I will have to cancel as at work the signal is non existent, I'm not even able to send texts half the time. Home is still not great despite the website saying it is good at my address.

3 network is still the best signal....you may just be one of the unlucky ones that can't pick it up very well
what part of the country you living ?.....I live in Essex and the signal is great here also when i go to London its fine never had any problems.....You may need to get O2 or Vodafone that's the only other choice you will have.

I live in south Birmingham so not the sticks. Virgin, EE, O2 and Voda all seem to be fine. That's why I said YMMV, 3 are perfect for you but not me unfortunately, for me they are the worst option.

Why is this getting so many cold votes. Network preferences aside, is it the cash back that's an issue or is it just expensive compared to other deals at the moment.

Annoyingly O2 is the only network that gets full reception where I live. All the others struggle...

Funny thing is 3, Virgin, T_mobile, Asda all share the same masts with EE.

Odd, Virgin was fine for me and the other half has EE.

Not quite sure about that mate. The general consensus is that EE/Orange/TMobile have the best converge followed by O2 and then may be a tie between 3 & voda. If you are lucky & have a good 3 reception then it's the best 3G and arguably 4G network out there. But their converge is far from excellent.

Well, Vrigin & Asda are MVNOs on EE's 3G network (i.e. the network used by Tmobile & Orange). 3 does have some mast sharing with EE but not every EE masts have a 3 antenna.

Now, this deal is alright. But we don't have O2 4G converge yet and I hate cash-back by redemption deals.

EE may be the biggest but they are far from being the best network
Don't matter what Virgin and Asda are they still use the EE network
3 with there new deal with EE has more than some share of there masts they have a lot

Vodafone are the worst network the amount of complaints they get its a wonder anybody goes to them
saying that EE getting near them for complaints

O2 are on there knees trying to sell the network because of the debt they owe (3 are still in the last bit of taking over O2 Ireland ) they were trying to buy o2uk but the government have step in and said they cant....you never know they may change there minds if O2 can't find a buyer

So after all that i still think 3 is the best Network

Yes agree the O2 deal is a good one but coverage is not that good here were i live :D

Maybe your general consensus is your mates down the pub?

Also see how hot the 3 sim only deals get on this website. I stand by my original comment, and you are yet to convince me otherwise.

FYI Three only works on the 3g standard and 2g is not supported, hence great signal in areas of dense population but really non existent outside of this. It's carefully marketed as having the best 3g/4G coverage which may be true, but when there us no 3g or 4g available, you're screwed lol

Hi Meistic, how was the cash back process in general? I have done some research and I can only find old posts (2009) on various forums about how bad mobiles.co.uk is with cash back but lately they seem to be much better provided you submit within the required time frames.

Process was great , you just upload the bill online and then wait a few weeks for the cheque. I had one issue only as 2 hours after I ordered it they change the deal from 7 to 9 months free . I called them and they changed it for me but any time I received the cheque, I had to ask them for another to cover the difference . Anyway can recommend as that was a good deal ( Samsung s2 for 11.88 300 min unlimited text and 500MB 3 years ago )
