O2 are now offering a complete range of iPhone Simplicity tariffs on their website and on their upgrade tool.

I've just upgraded from a £45 a month tariff to a £15 a month one.

Still get unlimited data and wifi but you also get unlimited texts now although MMS are charged at £0.20 each.

can you do this any time in your contract?
#2
You can only upgrade if your current contract has expired or you are eligible through O2's priority scheme. You can't change to Simplicity part way through a contract otherwise.
#3
I take it this is only available for those already on Pay Monthly tarriff?
#4
Still £5 more than what had been available for the last 2 yrs!!
#5
Where is the £15 tariff shows as £20 unless you sign up for 12 months - where is the deal in that?
#6
Qudico As Well On This
#7

Thanks to this article I found a link on the O2 site to unlock your iPhone: http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/unlockmyiphone.html

It can be done online (takes up to 14 days) and is free for Pay Monthly customers and can be done at any time, even if you are still in contract. PAYG customers have to pay £15, so probably best to do it before you move to PAYG.

This also includes Visual Voicemail which O2 previously tried to restrict to iPhone specific contracts.

These specific tariffs are new - similar ones have been available but do not include the same bolt ons which are iPhone specific.

£20 for 1month rolling. £5 pcm discount if you take a 12 month contract. Simplicity is available in 1 and 12 month contracts.

No it is available to new subscribers too.

Dont forget if you go through Quidco its £100 cashback for buying the sim only contract for 12 months!
#13
No MMS included, no international texts sent whilst abroad plus now costs £5 more per month than it was yesterday. Unlimited texts - so what? Not a good deal imo.
#14
Glad i got in when i did with the old Simplicity for iPhone 20 which they didn't advertise at all.
Very happy with my 600 mins 1200 texts , unlimited web / wifi & rolling one month contract.
I'm guessing MMS are in with my texts bundle as i aint been charged for any.

Seems by makin it official on their site they've tried to make the 12 month contract more appealing and have put the old prices on that sticking £5 on for the 1 monthers.

Im on pay as you go iphone, i currently top up £10-15 a month and for the first year of having the iphone my wifi/internet is free but when my year is up its £10 a month for the internet/wifi bolt on. My year is up now and this seems like a great tarriff - I now pay £15 a month - which i topped up anyway and get the free internet/wifi, unlimited texts and 300 mins - I only use the texts and will probs never reach the 300mins. And you can cancel at any time. And £100 Quidco

Are you sure?

£100 QuidCo makes the £15/m tariff effectively £6.67/m. Bargain.

£100 cashback looks to only be available on £20+ deals. £50 for £10/£15 per month.

That's what I thought, but Quidco also say's this:

O2 Simplicity - £100 cashback on all 12 month sim only contracts. Quidco exclusive.

Surely 'all' means 'all'.

Think they've increased it by £5 from the standard simplicity with unlimited web bolt on but then you now get more iphone related functions.

So how does Quidoco work for O2 upgrades? Do you click on O2 via Quidco and then go to the O2 Upgrades page? I always assumed them deals where for people wanting to go to O2 or take out a brand new deal rather then upgrade if that makes sense

There's been a lot of talk about this on another offer. I would go into the deal on the basis that you'll get £50 for a £15 contract and then if you do get the £100 then it'll be a bonus. On the QC site they say two things; "£100 on all 12 month contracts" and then "£100 on all 12 month contracts £20 and over". You would have though they could have got the wording correct by now - the offer ends tonight by the way.
#27
My reading of it is that the £100 on all tariffs is the bit that ends at midnight.

Google Chrome too.

It looks like they were in the process of pulling the £15 tarrif. £20 is the cheapest now.

If I go from the link in the thread, all is ok and can get to checkostage with the £15 tariff.

If I go through Quidco thats when I get the error - grrrr
#33
Does't work in chrome, ie or firefox for me!

Nope, £20 is the cheapest for me.:x
#35
£15 tariff is still there, I've just been able to do it.
This is a brilliant deal if you know you won't be upgrading this year.

£20 is still fantastic as you get all the iphone features with this. On the old £20 you didn't get wifi, unlimited text, visual voicemail etc.

Dont picture messages count as 4 text messages with o2?
#39
Hmm, I'm not eligible to upgrade; been an iPhone user for 6 months on a £45 p/m 24 month contract.
#40
I currently have friends and family discount on my account. I'm out of my contract terms and if I now upgrade via Quidco to Simplicity for iPhone does anyone know if I will get Quidco as well as the friends and family discount?

Thanks
