Peronally I'd take the 200 extra mins as the Bolt on... I may have read it wrong but I think your deal includes the bolt on for texts so you'd have to swap yhem for mins or other!
#2

Yes but this has been extended, that's why i posted it again

Really is this right? with most of the phone companys they want a 18 month contract.

one other thing, i see you can get internet as a bolt on, is that unlimited and does it use the new 3g or the old data packet gprs thing.
#12
and can you change your bolt ons?

right thats all my questions asked.........
#13
no sorry one more................ can you have a phone with this if you pay the extra?

I'd imagine you'd have to buy it seperately, but yes I think you could. Most people though would probably use one they already have to maximise savings.

Can't tell you for certain if it's gprs or 3g, but I'd imagine it's 3g where available. It's called 'unlimited' but o2 have a fair use policy of 200 meg. That ain't much... BUT! I have it, and I've used a couple of gig on odd months as a BT modem via my phone to PC, and they've let it go. If you over use it, they don't chop you off, just send you warnings to ease off. I've not even had a text yet!:whistling:

thats nice to know, ive got a n95 and a mini blu-tooth keyboard, so web surfing should be easier.
#17
Sorry for another question. But does anyone know if i can change my contract from the simplicity £15 to this one?

Without having to change numbers/sim etc.

Yup - I did that last week before the offer was extended. Wasnt asked which bolt-on I wanted though which was a pain - need to call soon to ask why! Call 202 (I think) from your phone.

Also I asked if I could have one of their "returned" phones and they said sure - but none in stock at the time...

It will start from your next roll over date.

I was on their £25 Simplicity contract and this new tariff is better, so I wrote and they are switching me to new tariff on 12-Sep.

Any decent deals about for phones on o2 or that can be unlocked for o2 easily to go with this?

Thanks,
worto.

Carphone Warehouse mobiles are generally unlocked, so might be worth looking there.
#22
can you get a free bolt on on the £15 month tariff or how much does unlimited data cost?
#23
thanks for the bump!!
#24
hi, how long does it take for the quidco commission to be paid for this? i mean how many months do i have to stay with o2 to be entitled to the commission? for with vodafone its minimum 4 months.
thanks

I have the £25 sim only and last months bill was reduced by £5.00, im gonna go instore and ask, but I have a feeling the £25.00 ones have automatically gone to £20. Also, I had a replacement sim for my other which was stolen and it was a 3G one if that helps.

Another thing, does anyone know if you get free weekend calls (Fri midnight to Sun Midnight any mobile/landline peak and off peak free...Not from your inclusive minutes) with the £20 sim as this is what makes my current package so good!!
#26
To go to this tariff price from the prvious one it was done automatically for me, got a txt telling me about it!

Also don't forget to get the treats i got 20 extra minutes to call anyone anytime.

The £15 tariff includes the Unlimited O2 to O2 Calls, which, unlike the more expensive plans, you can't change. Other bolt-ons, inc data, are 7.50 extra each.
#28
Is the free bolt on for life also or is it for 1 month?
#29
munkster yes it does have the free weekend calls!
this is a very good tarrif.

i currently am on pay-and-go on o2 and this is what i get for £15:
300 messages to anyone.
1,000 minutes/messages to 10 of my favourite o2 numbers. (£5 bolt on)
£5 credit left to use as i please.

i must admit, i have always said that my tarrif on pay-and-go is the best... but this deal surely beats it, for the extra fiver i would be getting alot more!

i think i am going to get this and then use the "keep my number" thing to transfer my old number onto the new simcard

thanks to the person who posted this, i am about to give you heat & rep :D

I can't get out of my Orange contract until December.

Do you think this will still be running around then - or a similar package for £20? Sounds like a bargain!
#31
Does anyone know if the free bolt on for unlimited btopenzone (the Cloud) Wifi using your voice connection, can be used with a laptop or is it for a fancy wifi phone only?
If it can be used through your laptop thats a fantastic deal, so thinking im reading the details wrong?

I was reading it wrong its for top of the range phones only :(
#32
Its been around for awhile so being extended will help people out a bit. Heat added :-) xx

For the life of the contract. You can change the free bolt on at any time too. It's a very flexible low cost 30 day rolling contract.

can use this with the Iphone if you buy the pay as you go?
#35
no not according to theweb site

Nice deal ... I had the Simplicity 30 with Unlimited Internet bolt on and phoned rententions after a month and they gave me the same package for £25 and changed the Unlimited Internet over to the Blackberry Mobile Internet for free instead of paying the extra £10 for Blackberry. Additionally, now I use that package on the iPhone 3G and I get 3G signal via the Blackberry Mobile Internet bolt on which I believe will be similar to the Unlimited Internet package bolt on.

I swapped over to an O2 PAYG SIM to test and it works fine on mine.
#37
I got this a few weeks ago and I'm very happy.

When you set it up online it defaults the free bolt on to unlimited texts, and obvious money saving ploy on their part as most people would never use the original allowance of a 1000 texts so the unlimited text bolt on would make no difference lol - be sure to change this during the online order if you're unlikely to use 1000+ messages - I forgot so I rang up and changed mine to the Unlimited Web Bolt On.

I've read elsewhere that the Unlimited Web Bolt On is not covered by the FUP but covered by the Excessive use policy instead - ring to confirm this as I can't confirm 100% - either way it's a great tariff ESPECIALLY as mms messages are taken from your 1000 text allowance (at 4x messages per mms - I've confirmed this by email and can see it's happening from my online account allowance view)) plus you can start earning 'treats' after just 1x month instead of 6x. Free customer service helps too for any problems you might have :-)

The £23.33 quidco hasn't tracked yet but it does say that it can be a couple of months before it shows so I'm not too worried.

Would the unlimited internet package and unlimited wi-fi bolt-ons provide a complete package for iPhone users? I have a jailbroken and unlocked 1st gen iPhone and wondered whether EDGE would be included in the package? Basically, would buying the 2 bolt-ons mean I never get charged for accessing the internet via my iPhone?

Cheers.

I'm on this with my iphone and haven't got charged for any net usage at all on it. And they've knocked mine down to £20. This is probably the best iphone users tarriff out there now I think.

have just orded this im currently on O2 pay and go with 300 texts for topping up 10 pound but i find myself topping up nearly £40 some months with no reward so this will come in very handy :-D
