You should be able to drop down 1 tarriff per month after 9 months, if that makes sense!!

WOW!! Great deal!!!
I am going to upgrade my contract next Monday.
Hopefully they will give me some more discount on it!!!
#7
Just remember your not getting a phone. But this is perfect for those happy with their current iPhone, and want to come out of any commitment of a contract
#8
Interestingly I am on the simplicity 20 and when i phoned to cancel I was offered a contract with a phone on similar terms - basically they take a normal contract and apply discounts - so you could certainly use it as a bargaining tool if you are looking to renew.

Have a look at the O2 retentions thread on MSE for tips:

I'm on a Simplicity tariff already paying £20 but I get less from my money so hopefully I'll be able to move to this one getting more for my buck!

What number did you call?

202 from mymobile and then cancellations.

Bear in mind i have been on this tariff for quite a while and so have qualified for the 'bonus' money they can use to keep you as a customer.

I'm in the same boat as you Magic_Monkey. I've been on the Simplicity 20 for about 3 months. Loving it - but only get 400 xNetwork minutes included. I think I'll be seeing if I can 'upgrade' to this Simplicity 25 for the extra 200 minutes for the same price.

I have the 'bolt on' that allows unlimited free o2 to o2 calls. It seems that this only activates after you have used the 400 minutes. It seems that the tarrif will include o2 calls in the 400 minutes you get to start with.

ALSO - O2 people, this tarrif also qualifies for O2 treats. This means you can get an extra 20 minutes xNetwork free per month! (Alternatively you can get other treats for texts etc).
#13
So for us simple people - can this contract be used for an unlocked iphone, including the data part? :)
#14
I just signed my girlfriend up last night on Vodafone sim only 600 mins and unlimited texts for £20 a month + £91 Quidco.

I'm tempted to cancel and re-order this for the sake of the free monthly Bolt On but I think the extra £68 Quidco just about sways it Vodafone's way.

Still a very HOT deal tho!

I don't see why not!
But you will probably not get the visual voicemail feature.
#16
is there a long contract with this connection or is it just a one month contract. I couldn't find more details about this.
#17
It's just a single month contract. Finish whenever you want.
I've been on hold for 6 minutes....

Cool, thanks. So once again for us simple folks, as this is an O2 tariff, does the iphone even need to be unlocked? I'm getting a 2g one from my sister in law (she's getting the 3g one) - could I just stick the new SIM from this deal into the phone and off I go? (he says, hopefully!)

It should work straight away with no unlocking.

Sweeeeet. Hotted and reps all round!

All done, my tariff will now be changed by tomorrow! I've kept the unlimited O2 to O2 calls (found out that it isn't only active when your other minutes have run out, it is active all the time) and have 200 extra minutes for my £20!
Excellent!
#23
Is it 3G? Mainly for the data bit.

Thanks

Hot deal!
#24
I got a text about this today! Nice to know I'll be saving £5 a month!
#25
I phoned yesterday to cancel my simplicty 20 (400 mins and 1000 txts + O2 Calls + bolton) to go to vodafone 20 monthly (600 mins + unlimited texts).

They DID NOT OFFER ME THIS DEAL !!!!!!! Arrghhhh
They offered (600 mins and 1000 txts + O2 Calls + bolton) for £20 for the first 6 months ONLY then I would have to pay £25

Just my luck :x
Im with vodafone now too, not gonna cancel again just to go back, disappointed.
#26
I am on the O2 25 and just called to change mine and got told they were automatically changing everyone.

Just got a text though to confirm they were changing the tariff.

Been on it for well over a year and it is a great tariff. You also benefit from the free International Caller package which can save you heaps if you are travelling abroad!
#27
Tempting but my question is got those who know...

Im 10 months into a 18 month contract on o2 paying about £65 a month with 1200 mins and 600 texts. I only need half these minutes. So if i call to cancel what should i say or expect them to say? Of course £65 down to £20 a month is saving alot of money.

you can't cancel your contract until month 17 giving 30 days notice. You may be able to change your tariff to something lower and cheaper but that's about it.

If you have not finished the 18 month contract then you can not switch to a Simplicity deal. Simplicity is SIM only on a 1 month rolling contract.

You would have to buy yourself out of the remainder of the 18 month contract to switch to Simplicity.
#32
This is a superb deal. I've been on Simplicity 25 for 8 months and got a text today from o2 saying they will be charging me £20/month from August. Great that they are looking after existing customers as well as new ones. This bundled with the unlimted web bolt-on, makes it an unbeatable deal, IMHO.

Precisely what I did the day I bought my iPhone on that 'magical' day.

Rang O2 and explained I don't want any **** or new contract deals off you, just change my tariff to the Online 15 deal and let me go. Got put straight through to the right department and they changed it immediately.

Even had a good chat about graphic design with the guy whilst he sorted it.
#34
When does this offer end, 31st August?
#35
Awesome, got a text saying I got upgraded and will be given £5 at the end of the month!
#36
Sounds good! 1 month to go for me on Orange,so defo worth a look,ty
#37
Nice one :-D
I was on simplicity 20 but just phoned them and now I'm on 25 for the same price :-D:-D
#38
Just spoke to O2 Carphonewarehouse customer service and they offered me:

£7.87 per month, 600 mins, unlimited txts for 12 months with no phone
#39
when they say 'unlimited o2 to o2 calls'..how many minutes does unlimited equate to? they must have a fair usage policy...does anyone know how many minutes are really allowed?? ive been trying to search for an answer but all attempts have been futile:?
#40
Can you choose any number, just phone vodafone they want to keep my contact and offer me first 6 months £15 then £20 with 600min and unlimited text. l said call me later
