Yes, P10 is a very good price, considering it's still selling for a lot more elsewhere (next lowest is £409 at Giffgaff). However, someone mentioned a few downsides in another recent thread: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/huawei-p10-409-giffgaff-2729526 . I'd use 'Ultra battery' to improve battery, & the other cons don't bother me. But the Barclays app not working put me right off.

Lmao what are you actually referring to? O2 billed me for the whole contract length and when I rang them they said to let it go through otherwise it would affect my credit score.

Not only did they charge me over £600 for a contract I cancelled soon as the sim arrived, they then took 3 months to refund it back to my account.

So my friend, if the process and tools are broken what is a worker to do?

You can use it but if you cancel within 6 months they will likely decline payment (same at&Cs stated on tcb too). I am not sure if any slip through?

I had a similar experience but they did then trash my credit score - it took ages to resolve. I have however gone for another deal this time and am ready for them.messing up!

some people are not realizing the deals is not good like it was started years back, there was a time people took benefit from O2 Refresh deal, even I did make one purchase Xperia z and within 2 weeks I got £50 top cash back as well, but is not same anymore, is not a coincidence people are complaining about bad credit ratings and charges lot of money, they doing it intentionally but some looser still looking for the same route my advice is work some extra hours and then buy new phone people waste so much money on **** things but they ready to take all this hassle just for a phone and £100 saving, strange ........................

refresh deals need to offer a stonking saving to be worth the hassle for me. I've had an ok experience and a terrible one with them. one worked fine, all sorted with one phone call, the other I actually returned the phone after they repeatedly failed to unlock it. it took 3 months to get my money back, plus letters from O2 threatening to send the debt collectors round for a handset I returned under 14 cancellation period!

It looks like these refresh deals are a bit of luck. the s7 last year deal was great. I had no problems. I can't see a similar deal for another phone this time round for a flagship phone.

Haha yes, there's some truth in this, but every time I do extra shifts, cheering myself with the thought it'll pay for a phone, I then can't bring myself to use the cash for the phone rather than saving towards a house deposit. It's certainly a bit of a hobby, the bargaineering, but the "earnings" made through hassling with o2 refresh (in my spare time) can only be used towards a phone, so are guilt free and hence quite appealing.

yes you can get another deal after a year.. that is what their refresh plans are for. to get Quidco or topcashback need to keep the line active for about 6 to 7 months as per the cashback terms

why did you not complain and get some compensation for it? that would have been fair.. as they broke their refresh T&Cs.

To be honest I was glad they gave my money back. They awarded me £10 compensation as good will. I don't think it was worth the hassle really and wouldn't go down that route again.

How did they break their T&C. The 30 days notice only applies once the minimum term is satisfied which is a 2 years contract. The only way you can press O2 is under the Distance Selling Act cooling off period however that can in part be compromised by virtue of the fact you're being forced to use the SIM (rendering impossible to return in sellable condition) to get the unlock code.
.
Can anyone tell me what the lock status is - (ie: is the XZ Premium from O2 'hard locked' as if not, one of the many code services online can resolve the network lock without using the O2 SIM.

What T&C did they break? You're wrong. 30 notice after the required period (the latter being the length of the contract.
Cancel under Distance Selling Act cooling off period which stands up to far more PROVIDING the 'returned' item(s) have not been used (which then presents a problem receiving the unlock code by text as you cannot snap-out the SIM)
