Yeah, they are flat pack, but real easy to put together. Great for wii games as well (DVD rack)

I love oak effect colour too :-D

Dont be daft, they would fall out of the realm of the consumer laws if they were not fit for purpose. I have had one for over a year, they get a lot of pounding from 2 very demanding kids, it is full with wii games and its stood the test of time.

Sorry dataload but you aint got a clue, pretty much like your comment on my camera spot. But still unfortunately peeps like you seems to get off on following members around and pulling apart their deals without a basis for argument,.....sad, very sad. But still whatever floats yer boat

basis for an argument? i wasn't trying to start an argument. i filled 4 of these with 360 games and 2 with ps3 games, 4 out of the 6 fell apart after a week and i wasn't following you around. it's not my fault if you felt the need to post 100 (below average) deals within 5 minutes of each other.

also this is a repost http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/579596/beech-effect-and-chrome-cd-and-dvd-

Was £19.99 ? Rubbish, unless you have a long memory for inflated RRPs that are never implemented for more than two seconds. Even Argos concedes:
"* Please note item 8753995 has previously been on sale at £14.79."
Don't believe the marketing hype, but still looks a reasonable deal.

Got 3 lots of this for my cds, 360 games, dvds, blu rays and hddvds. Not a bother with any of them all standing strong and some over 2 years old.

ridiculous comment, i have had one for over a year and its as good as new.

Shame that the silver effect ones are not this price.

I would be using it for solely PS3 & Blu rays. Would I be better buying a specific tower for ps3/blu rays or would something like this suffice (putting aside the color preference!)?

Dont bother with him, he an ass, just let him play by himself in the corner, trolls tend to get bored quite soon

i fail to see why you think i'm a troll just because i commented negatively on 2 of your deals, one of which is a re-post from 3 weeks ago and one of which contains a post by you which says "you wont find better for this sort of money" which simply isn't true and will obviously trigger a reply like mine. i'm guessing you don't actually know what a troll is, i haven't posted anything off-topic because i was commenting on the item you were posting about.

if i could be bothered i'd go and take a picture of said dvd and cd racks in pieces, in the garage. maybe they fell apart because they were used lots, i do own 1000's of dvds and games, for people with only a few these will do nicely :)

returned mine, bought a month ago

i didnt actually need it lol

damn this site lol
#26
been this price for ages i got one in june, needs to be against a wall or it will fall over easily
#27
Reserved yesterday went to pick up today and the price has increased back to £19.99, as the price on the day is what you pay, I left empty handed.
#28
Just checked again and they are reduced back to £8.99! Damn you Argos.

If your not securing it to a wall, piece of cardboard underneath does the job nicely.

Mine are rock solid. Superb for £8.99.

Think I'll pay the bit extra and go for it in black/chrome, as everything else is black (TV, PS3, HD Box, etc) and anything else would look out of place. Starting to run out of room for all my PS3 games and Blu Ray's and stuff.

Cheers for the heads up, as £19.99 is still a cracking deal, compared to prices elsewhere.

Hang a bit cos these were full price last week, next week the black ones could come down and you will kick yourself

In the small print for the black/chrome version, it says "Current selling price valid until 26/03/2010" - I don't have much experience with Argos, though, do they tend to stick to their dates or could it be changed at any moment? Thanks a lot for the advice though :)

Edit: Actually, it's ok, I've just found the exact same DVD and CD stand in black/chrome on Fleabay for £9.99, free delivery. It ended last night with no bids! Just messaged the guy about buying it off him. Saves me a tenner and saves waiting for Argos to lower their price. Thanks a lot again :)

Edit 2: Now bought for £9.99 delivered. Bargain! Saves a trip down to Argos :-D
