hmm, i dunno if this is actually a good deal or not.

It depends on how much the two expansion packs are?

Because Play sell oblivion for £17.99

Then again, this is the cheapest price for this edition that i can find so voted hot  nice one

This works out cheapest way to get the main game, Shivering Isles & Knights of the Nine. Trust me, I've looked into it. On XBox Live Shivering Isles is 2400 points alone - that's £20 in real money. Hence, this is the cheapest.

Didnt think the game was very good and if you ask me this is jsut a con - re-releasing a game with expansion packs that should have been there from the beginning

My son wants this game and I don't like him to waste his money

Gamestats rate it at 9.2 and this placed it third in all XBox360 ratings until the recent release of Bioshock shot straight in at No.1

Can't be that bad. :)

It isnt, if you like the rpg genre this is actually a realy good game, it has flaws, some big ones but this and eternal sonata are probably the best the 360 has to offer with RPG's at this present time and at 29.99 for the full game and expansion if you dont own the original oblivion on its own for the 360 this is a great deal.

This is far from a rubbish game.

Bioshock is very good, but I can't see that I will ever spend 143 hours on it like I have on Oblivion (And it's still not finished).

In my opinion, Oblivion is prbably the best game I have ever played, and I've been gaming since the rubber keyed spectrum. (even better than Ant Attack)

I also have to question the value of the GOTY edition though.

I have spent hours on Oblivion and there is still lots for me to do, and I've never bought the big expansions. So you get much better value out of the £17.99 version.

If you want your kid to play over 100 hours in a fantasy realm go ahead id say buy an apple and a football instead

I have been waiting for this. I have oblivion on the PC but would love the expansion packs. I play my 360 mostly because of the comfort, no wires on the pad and the big screen. So I will probably by this when the price drops a bit.

Or even pick it up on here 2nd hand.. although I can't see that happening any time soon the games huge!
