Worth pointing out that you are probably better off getting the original version rather than the GOTY edition. The GOTY edition has a nasty, somewhat game breaking bug by which you cannot cure vampirism. Therefore you spend the entire game unable to roam outside during day light hours. The 360 version doesnt have the bug, so if you own both consoles and want the GOTY edition then i highly recommend you get the 360 version. BTW i bought the PS3 version despite already having the 360 version (both standard ed) since at the time of release it had slight improvements over the 360 version. However the 360 version has since been patched and theres very little to tell them apart now.

The game is filled with bugs; some of them are positive, others negative.

It's still a great game though.

Isn't that curable with a garlic or something.....?!?

Preventing Vampirism
For the first 72 hours after being infected with Porphyric Hemophilia, the condition is subject to the rules which govern any other disease (and can be cured in the same fashion). If you become infected and do not wish to become a vampire, you must drink a potion, eat an ingredient (e.g. Mandrake Root), or cast a spell which cures disease. Alternatively, you could go to the nearest temple and receive a blessing at the chapel altar. If you do not cure the disease within three days, however, you can no longer be cured. At that point, the only way to prevent becoming a vampire is to avoid sleeping for as long as possible.

Edit -
Found more info on the PS3 bug -

I guess, if you catch it, just get it cured early before it turns permanent

Having just played through PS3 GOTY edition recently, completing the majority of quests - the cure vampirism quest is only applicable if you become a vampire in the first place. If you use a Cure Disease Spell or Potion to prevent the vampirism occuring in the first place, then it's fine.

I only noticed a few bugs within the game, nothing major to prevent you finishing the main or main expansion pack quest.

Great game @ a Great Price!
