Smoking hot! at this price it is cheaper than the HD 5770 and has better performance. I recently sold my HD 5870 becausce it was overkill for most games lol. Got a used HD 5770 for £60 from Ebay and runs all my games fine. This card runs even better than HD 5770 great value for a new card.

The HD5770 (1GB) is currently £113.99 on ebuyer delivered. I cant make my mind up between this and the GTX460 (768mb)can anybody out there tell me which is the better card.....cheers

how would you compare this with a Asus HD4870 @ 512mb?

About the same.
#14
Is it true that all these Nvidia cards run a lot hotter than their ATI equivalents?

Yeah like Bal brought up, it supports physx, so i'm very interested if the 1GB version drops in price. I don't see any DX11.1 or DX12 coming out soon.

Get a gtx 460, at this price offers much better value/performance. If you do want a HD5770 they are a bit cheaper at scan £105 I think? Or get a used one from ebay, some cheap ones on there. mine runs at 950 1350 and runs all my games fine :)

The gtx 480, 470 and 465 do run very hot and use a stupid amount of power.. The gtx 460 is a newer design, better temps, lower power etc. This is the best value mid range card at the mo. If you have more money tho HD 5850's are getting really cheap as hd 6000 gets closer..

Cheaper at tekheads ;).
#22
How is this in the hot section when its only 10 degrees? Lol.

Not for me... Free delivery @ OcUK if you have 100+ forum posts, so it's £117.49 delivered, and trust me... It's a serious temptation, coming from a current 8800GT owner. Seriously considering going for it!

Great price, especially with free delivery. Seriously tempted to replace my 4850 with this.

#27
lol why the negative. Awesome deal
#28
How come its still in the hot section though?

i think some ATI fan has some here and voted this cold! But this is a very good card and wat a good price i payed something like 40 quid more, but it was the superclocked version but even still.
This is a great card, stays really cool, never seen it go past 60c when playing games and idles around 35c. Plays cod mw2 without a hitch, dirt 2 dx11 maxed out, fine. I think the only place where you will see fps drops is when you go to the big resolutions. Like past 1920x1080. But that and anything lower is fine on the 768mb.
