I think they've had this price for a while...it looks good until you realise they want to rip you £8.31 for delivery!

Edit: Sorry. let me take it all back...Super Saver is £2.58...that's a bit better, may have to get some :)

Can I really be bothered...even though I've bought stuff from them in the past...

"Before we process your order we require the following information:

A copy of the picture page of your passport OR picture card of your UK drivers licence along with your passport or drivers licence number.
A utility bill that is at least two months old."

Looks like they've lost a sale.

Nothing to worry or get annoyed about. It's only a random security check to protect you (also see this on the eBuyer forums).

Call them & I'm sure you'll be sorted

Btw I have this same RAM but Gold edition and it is blisteringly fast for this price, and I payed about £60 for mine a year ago.

good post...thanks...checked out with Paypal...no security checks...swift and painless.

beat me to it great RAM!

I am seriously considering getting this.
I currently have 4GB (2x 2GB) of OCZ PC2-6400C4 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition

Would these work well together?

LOL

Guess I won't be ordering from them again. Asking for that sort of info is just ridiculous especially if it is expected to be sent online.

hey i bought 4 g mem
but
my motherboard can only take 2gig
anybody wana buy 2*2 gig of ddr2?

For information they do a titanium version too which gives better warranty support with OCZ, next day delivery if you need to RMA a stick also your motherboard needs to support 2.1v DDR2 to get 800Mhz

To be honest I would prefer these

Same spec, 6400 ddr2 4GB and Corsair pretty much one of the best companys in memory at least, and only £4 more.

Yeah, I know, it's just a pain in the rs. For the sake of saving a couple of quid, I just can't be bothered.

Play.com are saying they will be getting it in soon...will be interesting to see what their prices are going to be.

Very cheap. Only a little bit more than for 2gb

Will see what memory deals come out when building a value pc

(waiting for Phenom II X3 in Feb - this or C2D E8400/E8500)

Will probably combine with this 512mb 4830 for only 89.99 delivered

I've always seemed to struggle with OCZ memory in the past, but I usually go for ASUS motherboards and I dont think the 2 always go together that well.

Anyone know how this compares to that PNY memory for £25 on play.com?

i'm not sure, was going to purchase these because they look sexy and are reviewed to be good, but i went for the pny to save money, 23.78 (with the 5% rac code) was a bargain, although they don't come with any appeared warranties or information (just the sticks) in a sealed packet. they work fine with my new asrock instant boot board, unclocked e4600 (might do in future) & vista ultimate.

Don't think there'll be much difference/comparison for everyday tasks. So if it's for this purpose, the PNY ones will be fine.

However, if you're into high-end tasks, heavy gaming, overclocking or similar, then these will be more suitable.

£5 extra for Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5 / 4GB PC2-6400 / DDR2 800MHz XMS2 @ Play. Don't forget Quidco & any vouchers that may be floating around.

This is more comparable to the OCZ Gold series as the timings are 5-5-5-18.
