I've got the 700W one and highly recommend it, it's near silent.
#4
good deal, i have the 500W one, it's well built, solid PSU, has nice cable coatings
#5
Would this fit in a dell xps 420?

I have this PSU in my desktop machine and it's nice and quiet! I think it glows blue too.
The 12cm fan points down and sucks, if that matters to you. All cables are wrapped in black sheaths and are plenty long enough for a regular tower.

Mine was nice and quiet. There is (was?) an issue with these PSU's having faulty fan controllers and the fans then run at full speed.
Google with the words "noisy" or "fan controller"

"All OCZ StealthXStream power supplies come backed with an industry-leading three year OCZ PowerSwap Warranty for the ultimate peace of mind. " - I would check what this warranty actually covers. AFAIK it doesn't include shipping costs back to the manufacturer !

The OCZ distribution arm in Europe is in holland and you're looking at £20+ to ship these at your own cost !! If you're lucky enough to get the retailer (point of sale) to swap these out then you might get away with a fiver in postage.

For this reason I still have my noisy PSU as I refuse to pay the £20+ shipping.

Great PSU otherwise and good deal. Whether the Fan controller issue has been resolved in newer models I don't know. What I do know is that I'd be reticent to purchase products from manufacturers where the warranty involves shipping overseas at the purchasers cost.

If your current PSU in there is ATX, and not MicroATX, yes it will.

Fantastic PSU's, voted hot.

i think MATX refer to smaller sized mobo? I am using the 700W one with Rampage II Gene+ i7 920 with no problem

Only downside with this psu is I found most leads are a little too short for some cases if you want a nice cable management look (put all lead/cables behind mobo), some extra extension cables may need to be bought as well

No its a form factor.

You can get MicroATX PSU's, and often OEM PC's have them chucked inside, my old Athlon from PC world which cost me £900 for just the base unit came with a MicroATX 250w PSU.

thanks for the information
those concepts are really confusing! I have an Antec MiniP180, takes MicroATX mobo, but normal sized PSU and the case is advertised as MicroATX case, argh :x

What case do you have? I have the 700w model (and a good case) and it's not loud at all...
Check the reviews on newegg, either the buyers are very happy with this model, or they received a faulty unit and are complaining about it...
