  I have the 60GB version and it transformed my laptop, for the better. The weird bugs were all ironed out by manufacturer long ago. Unfortunately yes no getting round it is Pixmania.

  Had two of these fail over six months. Their customer service is diabolical and they expect you to pay return postage for an RMA (_;)

  It's not a good deal.
  
  It's £80 for an EOL drive. The Agility 3, from OCZ is only £12 more if you look around which gives improved performance & reliability.
  
  As for the drive failure/RMA issue. It was a fault with the firmware on the Sandforce controller which has since been fixed. Yes it knocked consumer confidence, but the drives are OK now, nothing untoward as long as the firmware is kept up to date to fix issues.
  
  I had an older Vertex that died, but a new one came to me within 2 weeks from OCZ without a hitch. Yes you had to pay the postage back, but pretty much the majority of retailers expect you to pay the return postage these days. That drive is still going strong in my laptop, while I have an Agilty 3 in my main gaming pc.

  great price, the fact it's last gen doesn't matter too much. it will still blaze out a regular hard drive. super way to bring back to life a mid-high spec laptop that's a few years old.
  
  however, not voting due to pixmania. horrible company. wouldn't buy oxygen from them if I were trapped in space.

  It makes for sense to get a sata 3 drive which is faster and compatible with sata 2 users incase you upgrade.

  Used this for 6 months. It failed but support great. Sent it back and they sent me brand new one.
  
  The thing with these is you shouldn't use standby or sleep as they don't like the sudden power cut. Just shut down and they last forever.
  
  It is very fast. I am in computers for a living and my pc is honestly fast!
