Click the deal for the details. It's a bit of hoop to jump through but for 30% off (assuming most things and I'm hoping single malts too), then it's a good deal from me! The deal is only pr…

God forbid that British businesses should benefit from the Olympic games cos McD's, Coke etc might go under. And there was me thinking that was the purpose of winning the bid. I know, I'm delusional, insane. Where's that straitjacket (_;)
Normally I'd dismiss this as a cynical marketing plot, but whatever they did, it couldn't be as cynical as the sponsorship deals of the Olympics, so go for it, Oddbins :)

Stewart Lee did a rather good bit about it - http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/jul/22/stewart-lee-olympic-games-twitter

If it's true that we're harrassing butchers etc for silly handmade signs in case Coke and McDonald's start crying, then it's truly gone too far.

To be fair, we paid the most, how about treating us like the sponsors are being treated? :)
They paid the most, it's generally how sponsorship works. Seems like an almost impossible faffing to save a bit at an extortionate shop
LOL.
I cant believe they would allow mcdonalds to support a sporting even, what is healthy at mcdonalds ? maybe a plain salad with nothing on it.

Oddbins is well pricey........
That said, they do sell some nice stuff, but for cheap wine you're better off in the supermarkets.

It comes into it's own when you start going above £15 a bottle though

Just been into my local (Westminster) Oddbins and they are doing 20% off all 12 bottle cases, including fizz. Makes this substantially warmer, I would expect.
its an okay deal as nt131 says cheaper in waitrose
I personally prefer M&S Cava around 5.99 get wasted for 1/4 of the price and its very palatable and after the 1st bottle no one can tell the difference
I've seen it priced several places @ £23.99 recently. First time I thought it was a good deal but more recently just assumed it was the going price this christmas
Although not really a fan of champagne....Still a hot deal. This is more my thing:

Dunno why cold! I would expect to pay around £25.99 or more so this is a couple of quid saving and every little helps!
