This week The Simpsons, then Stardust, then Spiderwick Chronicles

I think there was a post about Showcase cinemas, a little while back, take a book review and get in free on wednesdays (specail shows only)
#6
at Vue my four year old gets in free to these. don't know the cut off age limit, whether its 3 or 4 cos my daughter looks young. so just pay for my son, i get in free on his ticket and then my daughter gets in free cos of her age.
#7
i believe adults can get in without children to vue and odeon, just need to pay for a kids price and you are the free adult.

Blimey, you all know so much! all the deals. Glad I found this site

When we went to the Odeon kids club last week at the Trafford Centre it was actually £2.50 per child and adults are free. The odeon seems to be the only one to extend the offer to week days through all school holidays. Cineworld also do a kids club on a saturday at 10am- choice of 3 films per week for £1.

Red cinema at the Lowry centre is on all week - £1.50 per child, adult free. Some may find it worthwhile getting a monthly pass (around £12?) for the school holidays as there are some good fulms out at the moment. My reviews:

Journey to Centre of the Earth - good, pretty scary in parts, cost an extra £2 pp if you see it in 3d with the specs.
Wall - e - I love Pixar, but was a bit disappointed with this. Slow to start and a very simple story. Nice to look at though.
Forbidden Kingdom - really enjoyed this, lots of action and Jackie Chan stunts.
Batman Dark Knight - scary and tense, older kids only, much better than Batman Begins, quite a long film though.

All the ones at the cheapy kids shows are good - especially Nim's Island, Spiderwick, Stardust (bit long), even Alvin and the Chipmunks is actually quite a good laugh.

Is this a monthly pass for the Red Cinema? Says on their website they don't do monthly tickets. Do you have more details please? Also does anyone know from what age kids need a ticket? Thanks

Talking about kids at Vue cinemas

We had vouchers to go use you should get them when buying tickets as a sweetner 2 come back.

They give £1.50 off an adult and 75p off a child.

But if you go back on cheap Tuesday to use them all tickets are £4 whether adult or child.

so if you want to maximise your discount buy your kids tickets as adult ones.

2 kids = £1.50 saving.

or

a family of 4 watching a film for £10 - not bad and any film - kiddy rated obviously !!

compare that to my local showcase who want over £6 for 1 adult standard rate ! - rip off !

Had no problems with this so far not enough staff employed for them to care !!

Reel Cinema in Hul also do a kids club for £1 but im not sure whats happening during the week, though i'd expect they have it on. Anythings better than the crumbling state of our odeon.............

Yup, we take ours to 'The Odeon Kids Club' on many a grim weekend etc...... This promo has been running for as long as I can remember. Voting HOT though for anyone who didn't know about this offer :).

brilliant deal, never knew about, going this morning- thanks OP

Sorry - I meant monthly passes are for Odeon or Cine World. You do get a voucher off ticket with the £1.50 kid's movies at the Lowry (Vue) as other posters have said. Off to see Alvin and the Chipmunks now.

CAN ANYBODY POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION - WANTING TO FIND OUT WHICH FILMS ARE SHOWING AT CINEWORLD FOR KIDS (SOMEBODY LISTED YOU HAVE A CHOICE OF 3 FILMS). CHEERS.
#24
Go to the cineworld website, choose your cinema, look for Saturdays films - then see what is showing at around 10.30 am (only showing of the day). Click on book and it shoul give you the price - £1.00.

http://www.cineworld.co.uk/reservation/ChoixResa.jgi?TYPE=cinema

Our local Cineworld's have 2 films on, sometimes 3. Today it was Alvin and the Chipmunks and Spiderwick Chronicles (no kids show on Sun at ours). Next week's aren't listed yet - usually goes on website around Wednesday. Don't book on the web, though, there is a booking fee. Our local Vue is the Simpsons Movie Sat and Sunday (may be all next week but not listed on site), Odeon is Step Up 2 Sat and Sun at 11am - looks like all next week too.

Check on their web sites though as films and times can vary locally.

Just read this from moneysaving expert site

sounds good if you can get orange wednesday codes ( 2 for 1 tickets - text "film" to 241 35p per text)

There's a sneaky addition to this loophole, allowing you and a mate to get four films a month for £11. Cineworld cinemas offers an Unlimited films pass for £11/month; and better still I've confirmed this works with the Orange Wednesday codes so a pass holder can take a partner/mate for free. Overall this means unlimited movies for you, plus your pal gets four free films a month, all for £11.

so its £1.40 per person for 4 films per month - based on 2 going or if you have 2 passes & 2 Orange phones - £5.60 + 70p = £6.30 for a family night out once a week.

not bad !!

I was going to post this as a hot deal but someone did it 7months ago

What is the age limit for kids club films?
#28
Not sure there is actually a limit but I guess there will come a point when kids are too old to want to see the films. They don't tend to show any with a certificate over a PG. I am guessing 16 but you could argue that kids aren't adults until they are 18.
