Hot as always! :)

Every time Halfcost is posted, I end up buying loads of stuff that's cheap but I don't really need. This time I went for the £2.99 bathroom scales, 5 pairs of 50p socks and the plant corner unit for £4.99, amongst other things.

Last time I got some out of date red liquorice, a chrome toilet roll holder, beach umbrella and rug for £1 each.

I love Halfcost, or rather I used to, I have done loads of orders to them. But then a couple of months ago, they delivered one item from the order and nothing else, it has taken me all this time to get a refund with them INSISTING that it was despatched. When everything goes OK, they are great, but try getting their Customer Service when things go wrong !!
Anyone else had the same?

Same, orders accepted but frequently not all items delivered

Awful Customer Services, forever to get a reply, forever to get a refund

Same here. Hopeless if anything goes wrong. Still waiting on a refund for an item they insisted they sent out but even their own system says it wasnt sent. Given up on them since as it costs more in time/ cals than just having a refund. They dont seem to be purposely avoiding refunding, just clueless with their people/ systems. Otherwise, great if everything goes right, although the outer box packaging looks like a Pit bull has been at it, but usually contents fine. Great bargains though if you're not too fussed at what you're after. Shame about the free delivery going back upto £50 spend from £25 over Easter though.

This was about £70 they owed me. The goods were shown as sent out in one delivery with a tracking reference, but only the £3.99 wooden drum set was delivered. The parcel company confirmed that they had only received and delivered this one box, but as the whole lot was under the same tracking no. it took ages and loads of emails & calls (they are only there in the afternoon!!!???) to get the message across that I hadnt received the bulk of the order. As it was they refunded nearly all of the money except for a small item which it showing as "despatched".
I give up!!! :x
As you say the stuff is great (agree about the packaging though!) but its really not worth it.

Don't know if the code FF15 is still working for 15% discount for anyone wanting to "take a chance"??

I placed an order with them a few weeks ago that totalled £130 and should have automatically got free P&P and 15% discount for the order being over £50 (as it was then). I also tried the FF15 code but it doesn't work anymore so I went on HUKD and got the code KZ10 , which gives 10% discount.
When I got my order confirmation the discounts hadn't been applied so I emailed them straight away. I would have cancelled the order and started again if necessary but I wasn't about to lose £35. I didn't get a reply within 24hrs so I rang them (around 7pm). They were really nice but couldn't explain why the discounts hadn't been deducted and promised a refund of £35. When I still hadn't got it after a week so I emailed them again and a few days later the refund went into my bank account.
This was my 5th or 6th order with them. I haven't had any problems in the past and it wouldn't put me off placing more orders either. In fact, I'm off to have a look now!!

I have just tried to return a faulty item under the 12 months warranty.

They say its nothing to do with them, and they only accept items returned within 14 days.

HALFCOST ARE DEFO ONE TO AVOID :x
