Just needed to renew our family office Subscription.

Found it for £49.99 in Argos which beat the best online price I could find of around £57. Plus I can pick it up today.

This deal included a McAfee 5 user subscription as well but I'll probably just bin that or sell it on to make it even cheaper.

* 5 User / family member Office 365 edition *
* Thrown McAfee in bin or give to someone you don't like *

I normally look for a tablet at this price with office included then give away the tablet

mcafee is a resource hog, may provide safety but slows down using a computer - have previously used for 10 years straight and on and off for 15 years

Cold for bundling McAfee.

FFS just throw it in the bin, or sell it on, still getting office for a good price.

do they come with the home version?

also, if McAfee is such a hog why have you used it for 20 years?

Yeah, i would like to know where you can get office 365 cheaper, can someone who has voted this cold point me in the right direction please?
#9
Good deal but OP made the fatal mistake of not making it super obvious that this is the 5 user pack of Office and should have kept quiet about McAfee.

Cold voters usually vote and run but on the odd occasion they reply they'll unhelpfully tell you something historical such as it was £39.00 from AO a couple months ago or office 2016 is £3 on ebay, providing you don't mind unlicenced software of course.

Bought. Cheapest legit Office 365 Home I could find. Shame I missed the £40 deal a few weeks ago, will keep my eye out in future! Will hopefully be able to flog the Mcafee for a tenner, seems to retail at £25 which is nuts!

Several machines, so I could can compare with Norton and Kaspersky, there are faster versions but the virus detection rates were poor - well that's what I believed then, which is the reason I had used it for so many years, plus it was free from my workplace. Now change software often but have gone to Norton 360 but will probably change again - they are all roughly similar in terms of detection, speed and resource hogging is more important
