Seems a very good price for the official 250gb hard drive compared to other places. Approx £80+ elsewhere.

Ideal for those with a 4GB machine.

"The Xbox 360 250GB Hard Drive is the best option for expanding your Xbox 360 experience with downloadable content."

Might be a small amount of quidco too?

250Gb hard drive for £65.52 is a rip off IMHO
You would be far better of buying a WD scorpio blue for £26.58 from SCAN
you could puchase an enclosure for the drive for £3.66 at DealExtreme
This comes in at under half the price of the official one

Agree with you 100% that the HDD is over priced, but isnt this site about the best deal? The next cheapest for an official Hard Drive is £80+.

Ive had two xboxes banned (bricked) in the past by Microsoft for modifications, now that I am no longer a student, I can afford to buy full price games...and have ever since

However there is no guarantee that MS wont ban people for using a modified harddrive... nobody knows for 100%

But MS mentioned in their terms that they could ban people for doing this. Not to say they will, but since ive already paid so much.... i would like the peace of mind.

But if you are willing to take the risk... I agree John its the best route.

Still dont get why some people voting it cold?. . For the sake of £35 more than your modified, unnofficial, HDD and no worries about getting your console banned....

This is from the head moderator at xbox-scene, again not to say they will, but there's a chance.

Q: Can I use my hard drive from my banned box to a new one?
A: Yes. Normally moving the hard drive to another Xbox will not result in that Xbox being banned, unless it is tampered with or you play illegitimate copies of games on it. You will need to re-download any content (map packs, games, etc) that was purchased legitimately. Anything that was not legit will be forfeited. License Migration Tutorial

Whos to say the next dashboard update doesnt ban all fake HDDs? - £30 wasted on the fake HDD.... £180 wasted in total if they brick your machine too....MS nearly always find a way

I didnt see this as for some reason its near impossible to even find my own thread through the search function. Though this was posted as a deal at £70ish earlier in the day and he reduced his price ;-)

I actually think this is a great deal at £15 cheaper than elsewhere, but you will always get people saying make your own HDD or its overpriced to begin with.

Yet an xbox 250gb console that is £10 cheaper than amazon price gets 1000 degrees lol

xoddsockthiefx - it didnt go up to that price, Bully is correct

It's amazing how the same deal can have different heat, the one above is -55 at the moment, this one is +63 at the moment, and were posted in 1 day span. It seems that people just randomly clicking up/down arrows to follow general trend. I personally voted as "hot" as deal is good, you can't find genuine drive for less than that. And opinions like do your own for less are valid but shouldn't affect the fact that deal is about genuine Microsoft drive. But that's just my point of view.
