Just a quick info about this deal for those of you who recently purchased a Wii console (or plan to purchase one):

You can use the GameCube WaveBird Wireless Controller to play all your GameCube and Virtual Console games on your Wii console.

You should get this instead of the Wii Classic Controller (priced at £14.99, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-Wii-Classic-Controller/dp/B000IN0BSU/sr=8-3/qid=1166437007/ref=pd_ka_3/203-8331846-4825546?ie=UTF8&s=videogames) for two main reasons:

* you cannot use the Wii Classic Controller to play GameCube games on a Wii console
** the Wii Classic Controller is wired, this one is wireless

This is the best deal you can find for a GameCube wireless controller, so order one in case you need a Classic Controller for your Wii.

Yep totally agree the wavebird is the best option if you plan to play gamecube or virtual console games on the Wii

The classic controller isnt exactly wired though. Only in the same way as the nunchuk.

Also are these wavebirds rereleased on the back of the wii? I dont remember ever seeing one in a blister pack.

Is that true, the wii classic controller can't play Gamecube games?
(Nearly bought RE4 for the GC to play on the wii and they (GS) were trying to sell me a classic controller for the wii).
