Thats expensive I got a Gamecube and 2 controllers for £20 off ebay. (Although not wireless)
banned#11
For anyone wondering about the price. It's due to the fact that once you buy one, the batteries last almost three years.

My wavebird is two years old... and still using the original batteries. Just normal AAs as well.
#12
yeh i was gonna say they were still a bit much. ive got a GC, but theyve been out of date for a couple of years now. but still if its the cheapest online then you cant complaing
#13
The Wavebird has always been pricey, to be honest even the regular Nintendo branded controllers are pricey.
#14
Has anyone used a wavebird with the wii?

We used to have 2 wavebirds with our gamecube, but my lovely son decided to drop them in the bath:x (don't ask) and was wondering if it was worth replacing them for his wii
#15
i always wanted these, but they always fetch over £20 on ebay. i ordered 2, gonna go great with my wii !!

Yeah they'll work fine with the Wii, if been using my wavebird on the Wii since launch.
#17
Excellent controller, i'm still using my original batteries aswell! :P

Well worth £17.99, even if the the GC is old, the prices of these have never dropped by that much (and they're getting harder to find now aswell), as above, they work fine with the Wii too.
#18
Voted hot, was gonna buy one of these on eBay but this is much better :)
#19
Voted hot. I don't have one, and don't think I need one. I know I will miss some great GC games, but never mind.

No its not, thats the cheapest price i`ve seen for a wireless wavebird controller, these go for between £20 and £30 on ebay! As they are much sort after by wii owners.
#21
got one last time it was instock and it is the only way to play gamecube games on the wii, mind you the controller feels so shoody and dated compared to the 360 one
#22
They used to be £9.99 at play :(
#23
Probably the best controller in the world............

:?
Its virtually the same button layout that microsoft copied and tuned (place them on top of each other and see), but the wavebird has more comfortable triggers and a grippier left stick, but yes its not as good build quality (not that the wavebird is unrealiable or anthing)

Not in 2007! ;-)

They were £9.99 once i think and they were bought up very quickly - I still remember seeing pictures of people who got the good ol' silver royal mail sacks given to them full of them, LOL.

They have been out of stock for a while, but the last time they were cheap they were £17.99 aswell.

Yes they go in.

I dont think its been mentioned, but the Wavebird works with most Virtual Console games. We use it regularly for Super Mario 64, R-Type, Super Star Soldier, it is still one of the best video game controllers, despite not having the glossy lifestyle look to it.
