Well they would if they didn't have better technology in them.

This being a hot deal shows just how expensive these controllers are. You can easily pick up Xbox controllers for £15-20, and they are far superior - I know that's subjective but it seems the majority agree. Anyway, I suppose I better order this as it's about as cheap as they get, and mine has broken.

*Painfully ordered, and voted hot*

Because they have better tech inside them...hence why they're more expensive. Does that not make sense? (_;)

PS3 controller is better, lighter, rechargable, comes with batteries included (obvious I know), dual shock, will not bust your lcd if you throw it at it, unlike an 360 brick controller.

I know the lcd was a bit OTT, but had to think of something else to put down 360's :-)
#18
i think its partially due to the motion control in the controller (them being more £ than 360 controllers)

its only been used in 2 of my games and i have a lot

Cheers!

Xbox controllers are far more ergonomic, far better made and cheaper to buy. Therefore superior.

PS3 controllers may have 'better' tech in them, being the six-axis motion controller, but can you name more then 3 decent games where you can even use it?
#21
I've had the same controller for more than a year, it works fine, about 1 hour charge for 10hours + play, they feel better, and from what i've heard, last longer than 360 controllers, but yano, "each to their own" and all that stuff.

Hot because of price, best one around by a few pounds if i'm not wrong!

In terms of ergonomics, it's more of a preference. I've been used to a Playstation controller for many years. A 360 one feels alien to me.
I don't really know about whichever being "far better made." But, something being cheaper doesn't make it better. Just makes it more accessible to consumers.

There are many games on the PS3, most of which use the Sixaxis/Dual Shock controller. Many of those games are very good, too. However, I'm guessing you mean exclusives:
Uncharted 1 and 2.
Metal Gear Solid 4.

Does anyone else think these look like a copy?

I can't seem to find the word Official within the product description anywhere. And also notice that is says Label: Sony and not manufacturer.

lastly that RRP...is that right?

One game that stands out for me with the six-axis use is Heavenly Sword.
It's an amazing game when using that, you can direct arrows, bodies, swords etc.

PS3 controller is better, that's why it's more expensive.
You would expect a Ferrari to be the same price as a Mini just because they are both cars.
And it's not just six-axis, it's pressure-sensitive buttons, more buttons, bluetooth, an internal rechargable battery. It all adds up.

Ive got 2 of these brand new and in packaging (bought from sony). I dont think i will need them so if anyone wants to buy them from me please send me a msg. will get back to you on sunday. (btw not sure if i am allowed to post this here?)

*Groan* do we have to go down this phan boy route all the time? Get over it for God's sake who cares?

Good price for this. Next best options I can see are £28.49 (after 5% Quidco cashback) @ Choices UK or if you can get hold of one of the Currys/PC World £5 vouchers they are <£27.

neither is really superior, just comes down to i have a ps3 and a 360 controller wont work on it...even if 360 controller was made of gold and cost only a quid would still be useless on the ps3...and if the roles were reversed and i needed a 360 controller i would get one of them and not bother saying one is "superior" to the other since its a pointless argument
#32
I prefer the xbox controller. Mainly because of the horrible layout of the shoulder buttons on the PS3. Surely the fact that so many 3rd party companies offer "trigger extenders" should show Sony there's a problem. And yes, the Sixaxis was a failed experiment, but Flower is awsome! Seriously, if you have a PS3 and you haven't bought Flower you're missing a real treat.

Correct Sony do make the console itself, but I think you are missing the point I am trying to make about this controller in the deal:

lots of good fakes about

Why do you boring little **** come on here and carp on about the merits of PS3 and X-Box controllers, "is it a genuine Sony" is the real question, as i have been caught out before by small print!
#35
Why is the discussion about xbox controllers?

Unless your completely dumb, this is a PS3 controller..... for the PS3..... from Sony.....

Xbox controller may just be the best thing since sliced bread but one thing its not is a PS3 controller so its a pointless discussion.

Never heard of bee.com before so big discussion should be are these the real mcoy?
#36
the ps3 controller is used brilliantly in heavy rain
