Don't know why you'd need a Sky branded hdmi cable worth £2 at the very most.

"decided to buy and it scanned @ £6.00."

Think you've been ripped off there mate (_;)

I don't think £6 is an inordinate amount of money for the length and quality of the cable. Yes you can get 3m on Amazon for £3-4 quid but quality? Not so sure.

They're all the same. It doesn't matter if you buy this brand or some cheap Chinese cable. They will all probably be made in the same place.

The quality will all be the same also. £6 isn't much, no but when you can get one for £3 - £4? Not very cost effective.

My father spent about £5 - £10 on a branded cable and it's no different from my £3 one.

An hdmi signal is digital, it either works or it doesn't. Watchdog done a feature on it the other week, no need for fancy cables.

Branded cables with gold knobs on them are a scam. Better quality? Are you going to be moving it about day after day? No, it's going to sit behind the telly forever. Nah, it's a scam.

Agreed. It either works or it doesn't. However, same could be said with RJ11/RJ45/USB...etc. Yet, you can find some of these cables are unshielded and shops will up sell the more expensive ones stating that the more expensive ones are shielded from electrical interference.

Get a cheap one. No need to spend this amount. An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable.

An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable. Doesn't make any difference to the quality of picture etc, no matter how much you spend
#14
Wtf!? Why would you want a sky branded hdmi cable vs Amoy other one?
