Best price I can find at the moment for an Official PS3 Remote control.
O.K. you are not going to retire on the saving made but it's better than nowt and first time I've seen it below £14.
Little bit of Quidco/TopCashBack discount to be had as well.
Ideal for those who got a PS3 for Christmas and are now cursing the controller when trying to play a DVD/Blu-ray. (or is it just me?)

With the pound saved you buy a lottery ticket and before you know it you're a millionaire.
Well that's my plan anyway...

There should be far more positive thinking like this out there, can i have some please!

Good price, but resisting temptation... it's a damn dvd remote! I saw the deal for playtv, and it was cheaper than this has ever been!

Essential bit of kit for anyone who used their PS3 to watch vids, I'd be lost without it.

As I understand it, a lot of modern TVs can already control the PS3 Bluray to some extent via CEC aka Bravia Sync aka Viera Link, etc.

Keep an eye out on play, when they do their 2 for £25 on games they usually include these. Never regretted buying this remote; using the 6-axis is fine but nudge the trigger buttons and you're in all kinds of trouble lol !

Re Bravia Link, mine (40W5500U) doesn't control the PS3 and it would only be limited anyway (i.e. no PS, square, R1 button etc).

Great remote, only thing is though it is very annoying. You press any button and it switches on the PS3, why doesn't it have an on button?
#12
Do I need a PS3 console to use this? lol

i got a 2nd hand one from my local blockbuster for £3.75 a couple of months back, in perfect nick. so if you're not bothered about it being brand new, might be worth having a check at your local.

Got mine from argos just before xmas, as had a £5 voucher from there, but this is the cheapest ive seen it, without using that argos voucher

cold because i cant retire on the saving!

These are still FAR too expensive. I'd get one if it dropped below a tenner. Just use the bloody Sixaxis.

£10 delivered @ CEX if you dont mind pre-owned. then give it a wipe with anti-bac wipes :)

I really wanted one of these but when you get used to using the controller it's Ok. Hot deal as it is the cheapest.

sorry, but those saying "just use the pad" are missing the boat completely.

these are FAR superior when using PlayTV or watching a blu/dvd. The pad is competent enough, but it's far too fiddly for prolonged use in these tasks if you ask me, especially considering how easy it is to accidentally catch one of the shoulder buttons, etc.

but then i wasn't keen on paying £15 for one, hence my tip to check your local blockbuster for a 2nd hand one.

I second that. It is annoying when the PS starts up for no reason. Still less annoying that trying to rewind a movie and accidentally skipping back to the start of it

Please note:

Not "essential".

I don't tend to hold the remote when watching a film.

did want to get one of these although agree £14 is meh. however, that 'any button turns on ps3' thing sounds like a nightmare though and has killed this for me. sixaxis it is i suppose...

you don't have to hold the pad to knock one of the shoulder buttons accidentally, it's easier to do than you'd think.
