These are going to be obselete soon. They're probably binning them off cheap before the dual shock 3 comes out here. I have a DS3 and have to say it's a night and day difference, the DS3 is miles better than the six-axis. The weight alone makes it feel much more sturdy. And rumble is a major plus, anyone who says they don't care about it is nuts in my opinion.

These were listed as Dual Shock 3 at £17.99 when I placed my order. Got an email last night to tell me they were the standard model, but they don't cancel your order. As they expect them in, in 48 hours if I hadnt checked my mail I could have been getting charged and receiving a controller I didnt want.

just a note to say i had oredered it when it was listed as dual shock 3 at this price and the email i recieved said they would honour the original order but had no idea when it would be available as sony does not have a release date for these over here. they also offered the option to cancell at no cost and the option to take a regular controller for this price.

heres the email

"You recently purchased a PS3 Dual shock controller from us but I am sorry to say that we made an error in this listing as the item is not dual shock and at the moment Sony have not released this item in Europe.

We will of course allow you to keep the back order with us until the product is released by Sony but at the moment we have no date for this. If you prefer not to wait you are of course free to cancel the order with us and we apologies for any inconvenience caused. We are however able to offer the non dual shock version which we will have stock later in the week."

As you can see if offers to honour the origonal deal, or gives you the option to cancell it or order the normal ps3 pad.

Another note is that this still seems to be the best price for an official ps3 controller, but i suspect the postage will be the same as on my origonal order which put the rice up to around £22 i believe.

Still voted hot as ive not sen these cheaper elsewhere.

It pains me to say this, but I voted cold due to the company not coming back to the forum and explaining the 'misunderstanding' about the DS3 controllers.

Delivery is £4.99, not £1.99

That email looks more like that they will let you keep the pre-order for the DS3 but not the price, so expect to pay more than £17.99 (think rrp is going to be at least £35)

Not quite sure that's the case.

The email I got did indeed say there was an error in the listing, but it also says the dual shock version isn't yet released in Europe, but they '...will of course allow you to keep the back order with us until the product is released by Sony but at the moment we have no date for this.' It then goes on to say I can order the regular six-axis if I want to.

I take this to mean that if I leave the order open, I will get the dual shock version when it's released.

But then, maybe I'll I'll just order one from www.yesasia.com, instead...

RRP of DS3 est to be £39.99

But the current SIXAXIS is RRP £34.99 and they are sold cheaper so about £30-£35 for a DS3 when they finally come over here we think.

I've voted cold because the op has not even bothered to click the link next to the items price which says p+p is £4.99 not £1.99

Who cares if they are obsolete? It's a controller. Not everyone cares about rumble...
