* Chat on Xbox LIVE with ease featuring dedicated keys to letters and characters
* Don't hamper your style - the Xbox 360 Chatpad attaches seamlessly to your Xbox 360 Controller
* Backlit buttons allow you to accurately type words even in dimly lit environments
* Messenger Kit includes the Xbox 360 Wired Headset for the ultimate communication bundle

Any one got a direct link? When use the go to deal button it wont work for me in work. Tried looking for it on the HMV site but it's showing as £24.99.

Excellent product - well worth the money. I've had mine since shortly after they came out and it makes replying to IMs a breeze on my 360.

Hot deal!
#7
Very cheap! Didn't buy one myself as boyfriend has an elite and would complain the colours don't match.
#8
Think this one will sit in an 'ordered' state forever, or else get cancelled - but I've gone for it anyway and voted hot.
#9
good price considering theres a wired headset

dont forget quidco

Easily sorted with a can of spray paint.

I don't know why Microsoft used such an awful method for inputting text on Live. A circle of letters that corresponds to the circular motion of the analog stick would be brilliant.
#12
Cheers ordered one for the kid.
#13
Considering they have the same thing instock on their site for £24.99 under a different item code I really don't see this being honored but good luck!
#14
Thanxs- good bargain IF they honour it
#15
Expect it to be cancelled, but worth a go.

Hot!
#16
thanks, ordered, now the waiting game...
#17
These are great but as otheres have said, obvious misprice and as with all misprices and HMV they just cancel.
#18
Ordered this along with the Xbox 360 Wireless N Networking Adapter Black for £39.99 delivered @ Coolshop.

'Back in stock in 21 days'

actually means

'you'll be f*@%ing lucky mate' in HMV language,

still no harm in trying:whistling:
#20
Ordered thanks! :)
#21
ordered, hope they don't cancel it :P
#22
Excellent spot. Great value - think I might treat myself - if they come back in stock :D
#23
Expired?

Scorching hot deal if they'll actually send the things out.
#24
I've had similar low prices on "back in stock in X days" items turn up from HMV before
#25
I do agree mostly, but they honoured the xbox live 2100 points for £6.99 a while back.
#26
Worth a try :)

I got four of the 2100 MS points cards dirt cheap a month or so ago :)
#27
ordered

5% Topcashback. Thanks a lot, been waiting a while for a deal on this - it's a rip off at over £20 IMO. Also worth noting you have to search for 'Messenger Ki' and not 'Messenger Kit'.
#29
what fools keep expiring this? you can still order it.
#30
Prob the person who read on the site

Availability: back in stock in 21 days"

I've ordered a few "bargains" from HMV in the past, even though they are out of stock. The order eventually gets cancelled without explanation.

I've given up shopping with HMV completely thanks to there "empty promise" "offers"...
#32
Worth a punt - need one for the wife's new xbox so thanks very much!

Got quite a few offers from HMV before so i can't see the point in ranting - just don't buy from them if you don't want to..
#33
worth a go, cheers! :)
#34
great deal and not desperate for it so cool with waiting...

Not in stock... Will be deleted. A not instock item is surely an expired deal until back instock

The previous 40 or 50 I have ordered like this ...waste of time ..Expired deal otherwise you cannot filter

Ordered! Fingers crossed.........

Unfotunately, Microsoft have not at all decided to make another colour, so you have to take matters into your own hands.

Thankfully, from car shops you can get Vinyl Dye paint rather than your standardised paint that is recoatable in just 15 minutes and far better than your usual spray paint.

My chatpad looks fine now on an Elite controller.

@cicobuff

Beautiful job!

I was just researching how to do this. So I should just pop into Halfords or somewhere and pick up some Vinyl Die paint?

How did you mask off the keypad to ensure you only sprayed the body and edges? Also, I read that it's important to take it VERY slowly when doing this and apply about 3 coats gradually. Is that how you did it?

EDIT: Aha, you can take it a part of course - just like you would with the xbox controller.. That's not so bad then.. brill.

Great find OP!!!

Been wanting to buy this for quite a while. Been looking on Ebay and they're going for £15 and they're SECOND HAND!!!

Worth the punt!! Even if you don't get one in the end!

Thats what I used, its expensive at £9.99 a can though, but goes a long way, it has done the chatpad my HD DVD Drive and my wifes paint faded buttons on her laptop, and still some left in the can.

You dont mask it, you take it apart http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/sep/EElAVVEVZlzwvBSWhd.php

I personally removed the hologram sticker and MS sticker using a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive glue and a craft knife to lift them off and then put them on a sheet of greaseproof paper.

Personal preference as to whether you also paint the surround on the keyboard, that grey "grill" around the keys pulls off when disassembled, I prefered leaving mine black.

Great thing is its recoatable after about 15 mins and so much easier to work with than regular paint.

Really easy to take the chatpad apart apart from the couple of clips holding it together once the screws are out.

I used light coats, and I believe 3 or 4 in total, it seeps into the plastic though unlike regular paint, and although you still have to be careful runs are less likely to occur, also unlike paint you dont get the same build up, so the microsoft logo on the chatpad looks still recessed nicely too.
