Official Xbox 360 Play and Charge Kit, Black - £7.99 @ Amazon

£7.99 @ Amazon
Down from £9.99 I think, seems to be the cheapest price around for the official charger from a reputable vendor.

That's not the official one alan27.

£6.95 here http://www.amazon.co.uk/XBOX-ELITE-PLAY-CHARGE-BLACK/dp/B0037EVO3I/ref=pd_luc_sbs_00_02_t_lh

I'd only trust the official Microsoft play and charge kits. And for £7.99, bargain! I'd have bought another if I didn't already have two. (One from when these went down to £9.99 on Amazon a few months back, and the other came with the Special Edition Silver controller from argos, only £29.99!) :D

Just leave it plugged into the USB port on a computer when not using it and you will never need it plugged into Xbox.

get this instead:

two batteries, I know its not play and charge, but you can have one battery/controller on charge while you play and swap round for no down time. much better product imo

£4 more and you can buy some tat :-)
#24
Can this be used to connect wireless Xbox360 controllers to a pc for use in pc games? Probably a long shot I know
#25
Been waiting for the asda wireless controller + charge and play to come back in stock at £15 but no luck so just ordered this as I don't really need another controller. HOT!
#26
Really not worth going for 3rd parties one. They might be okay when you initially receive them but I can assure you that in the long-run it's worth paying the extra for the quality of Microsoft
#27
excellent... X)
#28
Ah, if this was white would be perfect oh well heat added nonetheless
#29
Nice one bought a 3rd party one a while ago worked for about a week!
#30
From experience I've found that if you get a decent third party one they last longer than the Microsoft ones both in charge time and in the long run
#31
voted HOT & bought 2.

been the tight **** that i am, i've always used 10 panasonics batts for a £1.
#32
2 days too late, just ordered an unofficial one for same price boohoo..............didn't even know they existed until i asked my son if there was anything he could use instead of the vast amount of batteries i have to buy!
#33
heat added
#34
Whilst this is a great price, these things are rubbish. I had 6 of them die on me before I just swapped to eneloops / hybrios. I don't know what batteries they put in them, but they're awful.
#35
Did you not just return your dead batteries for an exchange or refund? Should have come with a year guarantee?

the Argos ones are better as they charge using the proper charging connector rather than contacts on the back of an aftermarket battery...

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9237654.htm

Use this with either the genuine battery or the spares it comes with.

#39
shame - i was about to order from amazon when i found out GAME store do not have the same price and they said their website operates on a different warehouse hence the price difference.
but GAME online still shows the price as this so i have just placed an order by going thru quidco so hopefully i'll get a tad back
#40
no, they are still available at £7.99 just look underneath the ones at 14.43, for the marketplace links
