What adaptor do you use mate. I hate the PS3 pad.:)
#7
The wired ones are better and can be used on a PC for emulators/games etc without the need for wireless adapter.

This one mate http://www.renchi.com/renchi/PS3_Accessories_Cross_Battle_Adapter_Plus_XCM.htm and it works perfectly, me and a friend have been using it for a little while now and instantly skill levels go right up (no joke) beating your best times on driving games straight away, more accurate FPS controls etc

Yeah about 6 months ago they bought out a replacement which lets you configure the buttons layout so this one dropped from the original price of around £50 which is now the price of the replacment.

i really do prefer using the wired controllers because theres no battery pack in the way so the controller feels far more comfortable.
Btw is there any way you could have a mouse & keyboard setup for the ps3 to use in game???
#25
So much better for use with the PC especially with the know issues with the wireless crossfire adapter for the PC. I went through 3 replacements for faulttly wireless adapter (just google for the problems). Now have a wired controller and no issues. Great price so heat and rep to OP

Think again. The PS3 controller is WAY more precise, and in turn, more responsive, with basically zero deadzone. You may prefer the 360 pad, which is a different kettle of fish.

If you want a hassle free (and cheaper than buying that Cross Battle thingy) try and source a dreamGEAR Shadow Wireless Controller for the PS3.(it's 360 button layout pad for the PS3) they pop up regularly on ebay, but they go for around £40ish. Still cheaper than buying a wired 360 pad and that adapter jobby/thingy.
