Any models post-HDMI should have had Wi-fi built in, this adaptor is a rip off, pure and simple.

Saying that, I suppose it's probably the best deal around if you really need one.

I agree with Spark. Wifi adapters can be had for pennies, yet MS want us to fork out almost £35 for one of these ugly atrocities.

Almost everyone I know with a 360 has wireless internet, and given that lots of children use these, in bedrooms, and almost all cable installations surface in the living room then it means that loads of people will need some internet solution.

It would be such a minimal cost of MS to include this device, and I really think they should.
#3
Do you get like..3 months free if you buy this? Or have you still gotta buy LIVE and Points on top of this?
#4
Agreed, the dongle itself is a ripoff of an RRP - having said that I have one and its a bloody godsend... wouldnt be without it.

Voted hot as its a good price if you are looking for one, but the fact you dont even get 3mths thrown in makes it a bit of a kicker :(
#5
Perhaps they should not include the headset with the 360 and include the dongle instead that could be a way round for them as I don't "think" the other consoles come with a headset.

And every PS3 slim should have some PS2 backward compatibility but it don't you have to buy a PS2, every Wii should come with WiiSpeak but it don't you have to buy it, every 360 should come with a WIFi adaptor but it don't you have to buy it..

Good price if you need one of these

Voted hot

Why would a PS3 owner want to play PS2 games, there are plenty of fantastic PS3 exclusives to play... just look at the top rated exclusive titles of the past 2 years. :whistling:

The 360 is supposed to be a next gen console the fact it doesnt contain wi-fi is laughable.

WiFi adapters, hard drive expansions, Xbox Live bursting with adverts. Yep that's Microsoft.

Headsets cost nothing. PS3 can use any bluetooth headset on the market.

The 360 was designed 5 years ago and MS paid us to buy it. You can stop laughing now

And this supports 802.11A? (5ghz) for better quality when streaming HD.

That said and done mine's gone back in the draw, I've done a CAT 5 cable run from the router to our bedroom so I can stream BBC HD and ITV HD.

Get a grip fella  as a Psychologist you make a good lorry driver :p

Being sick of a person who clearly likes his PS3 a bit toooo much and who feels the need to comment on EVERY 360 thread in a negative way just to justify in his little mind that his £300 was well spent does NOT make me a fanboy, in the same way that having a brain does not make you intelligent :whistling:. I'll cut you some slack as you're a n00b but when you have been around a bit more and have seen a few more posts by said person you may understand. In the mean time please get your facts right next time before making any more unfounded and inaccurate comments Alan, theres a good chap

The supposedly next gen PS3 slim can't stand up on it's own securly is laughable BUT can with this fantastic bargain piece of plastic from Sony that costs an 8% $24, of the price of the console,

http://gizmodo.com/5340757/this-is-the-ps3-slims-overpriced-stand

Hows your Linux going that you always go on about the PS3 being capable of? I hope your PS3 don't break because you will have to buy a secondhand replacement as the slim has had it removed still at least they put a USB port at the back so you don't have all those wires hanging out the front OH wait no they didn't......

As for your games, you choose sites that suit you for reviews I . One that gives a PS3 game a high rating because it gets 100% by 2 or 3 official PS3 magazines in it's top ten reviwes and most others are from Playstation websites don't gel to well. Go by the sales of those games and how quick they went budget priced (Not platinum) is a good indication of their true score.

I think you will find that MS have been making a profit per console since the late Xenon series and even the Wii has built in Wifi.

Don't get me wrong, the 360 is by far my favourite console of this generation, but I think it's a bit of a joke when you couple MS' love for proprietory hardware with their eagerness to force the consumer to pay for their own mistakes.

Just in an attempt to settle the long running 'fan boy' dispute on here by the way, I think you can sum it up by saying:

360: Great games console - rubbish media centre
PS3: Great media centre -stumbles a bit as a games console.

(I own both by the way).

Unless of course you want to use a media centre extender like me...

Don't care either way on this fanboy crap, I've got a wii, 360 and a ps2 (no intention of getting the PS3 yet). All have their own merits.
#20
not really wireless is it, it has a wire on it...no wonder they are trying to shift these on.
#21
Are you crazy?

It has a wire because it's too big to connect directly to the console, it is still a wireless networking device though.
