The cheapest I've ever seen this - a bargain at this price.

A BRILLIANT FILM!!

My Favourite film.
Try not to watch this with girls, it usually upsets them, and has them babling about it from time to time. Not to say it's not for them, it's just Wow. Powerful!

Based on a true story makes it even better :{ cant wait to see the new oldbomb hollywood remake 8)

Great movie, my wife's favourite in fact, however the Blu-ray release isn't that much of an improvement over the DVD release. so for those of you who have it on DVD it's not really worth upgrading.

The other Vengeance movies are around this price too, meaning you can get the trilogy on BD for under £20

My favorite film, the wife hated it, really hated it, subject matter can be uncomfortable to the easily upset amongst us.

Amazing movie, ending totally blew my mind!!! Think Hollywood should just leave this one alone!

this isn't based on a true story! Hollywod plan on remaking it but it won't be as good!

Good price, shame it's play.com, I've really gone off them recently. They seem to have lost the plot re: customer service......

Ace!
#12
good film but there are some bad reviews of the quality of the Blu ray
#13
Have this already and it's really difficult to see a difference from the DVD... Very poor!

I have it. The cinematographer messed up the silver retention process resulting in a very grainy and drab looking film. A massive shame, as the production design is beautiful.

The best film of the last decade, but sadly not worth the upgrade from DVD.

The preceding film - Sympathy For Mr Vengeance - looks absolutely stunning on blu however

don't think it was from a true story. it was based on a japanese comic with the same name. whether the comic is based on a true story then i don't know

Not unlike the film itself, the 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer on this Blu-ray edition of 'Oldboy' is tough to classify. While it looks leaps and bounds better than any previous DVD presentation of the film, it has very specific visual problems that may or may not have been intended by the director.

I think I'll be ordering it mainly because I want to watch it again and at £6.50 you might as well buy it :o)

There was talk of Will Smith being the lead.

If Hollywood remake it I may have to punch someone. This film is amazing and needs to be left alone!
#22
great film, didn't predict the ending at all - very shocking!

Will Smith, that'll ruin it for sure! I've not forgiven him for I am legend yet, tut tut!

I was annoyed this came in a thinner blu-ray case! But I'm like that... however, fantastic film. Only watched it a few weeks ago for the first time but it's straight into my top three of all time.

Very bad transfer over to Bluray though, picture quality not much better than the standard DVD!

Brilliant film though really enjoyed it.
