A good SLR with 8 MP, not a bad price with the free TD delivery this week.

This high quality digital single-lens reflex (SLR) camera from Olympus handles 8 megapixels using JPEG & RAW format. Not a great price to be honest, although most are now gone from sale they were under the 300 pound mark brand new which was a great price for them. At 400 pounds although this camera has the best live preview of any SLR (most SLRs have no live preview at all, the E-330 had a clever secondary sensor which has now been abandoned) I think there's better cameras out there for the price.

Digital depot was one of the last ones selling them at the firesale price, the reduction was because the E-330 has been discontinued which means there's not many of them about now. At 300 the camera was a great buy but at 400 (I paid just over this for my E-330 when it was in its prime a while ago now) I don't think it's worth it against the competition - in the Olympus line you have the outgoing E-400 now at bargain prices, you can get it with the superior 14-42mm kit lens which is smaller, lighter and has an ED element compared to the 14-45mm supplied with the E-330. The E-400 is also smaller, lighter and slightly higher resolution. For slightly more money you can get the E-410 which also has liveview (although mode B only), a 10MP sensor with improved high ISO performance. That's not even touching on the Pentax, Canon, Nikon and Sony alternatives.

King - the E-330 is a better camera than the E-500, it offers full liveview support, its sensor is better for high ISO performance and it's build quality is better. Although you are getting the excellent 40-150mm kit lens (different to the one supplied with the E-400/410/510) I still think the E-330 is the better buy for the 300 you can get it for brand new on ebay.

Agree with John. ALthough it's gone from Digital Depots website now, it may be worthwhile giving them a call to see if they have any left at all they were , I think 299 including the standard lens- they normally seem to buy up Olympus's end of line stuff, and I'd assumed they'd bought up the entire stock in this country, but Tesco must have sourced more - maybe Olympus still have some, although I suppose Tsco's could be grey stock..
Not sure thismakes much sense, but if you are interested in buying one, I'd phone Digital Depot first of all

I don't think Tescos have sourced any more, they were selling them at a far higher price than anyone else so I doubt they've sold many of them, hence they still have them left.
