normally they are USA models, email Ebuyer and ask them, they will reply.

thanks...but i can find anything but the crazy enote system to contact them ...is there a simpler way..cheers

A good price for a very good specification camera.

Although maybe not in the same league as what the pro's use, this has almost everything an amature might want and at a fraction of the cost compaired to others in the same megapixel range, and is more than good enough for most, especialy with two lenses

Good find at a good price.

You have to be registered with them and use there enote system,i did ask them before a few months back and they did say they were USA models, like cameras i bought from there before.a good price but i think they is only a year warranty instead of two.

I have one, was thinking about another as back up...and find it great...I used to work with a Bronica medium format before....have to say this camera has it all....if you can't take a good pic with this...hang up your boots....you need however to make some adjustments to get the optimum output from your shots...but that's expected when you take control of a camera....you will read lots of info about clipping of highlights etc...but all you need to do is bring it down-0.3...-0.5 ev to sort that out....also the 'IS' is wonderful. I tried it out in Times sq last week at night and was able to do sharp hand held shots. There's also mention of lack of sharpness...again you can adjust this to your needs in camera or just don't bother sort it out in Photoshop afterwards.........wonderful for taking pix of people etc if that's your thing...The shoot rate in burst mode is unreal I shot possibly 20 or 30 pics in a row with out it stopping....I was using a SanDisk IV card so that helped..........If there is a downside, the auto focus can get a bit confused in low light...again there's an easy solution....focus on the subject and hold down the focus lock..... frame the shot...it works fine then.....

I will have one myself one day,i still like using my E330 and E1,plus i got a c8080,c7070 and c5050.when they go to a silly price like the E330 did,i will have one, saying that £400 is very tempting,i must be good :)

Cheers will mail them...If you have all that kit I'd hang on.... as I hear there's an e520 in the wing's due for the summer...It will most likely address some of those issues I mentioned above.....but then again it will be full price for a bit.....I have to say I don't like the way olympus version their camera's so often..I find that worrying...it just bugs people...especially the 410 wasn't even out a year ....when the e420 was released.....

Yes Olympus do bring new models out quite quick.Thats why i dont buy them when they first come out,i wait till they get reduced for the new model.saves a few pounds.

Cracking deal :-D.

Very tempted to get another E series camera for day to day shooting.
The IS on this unit is very nice (and it's on the body not the lens unlike some other popular makes so you get the benefit with any FourThirds lens you may choose to pick up). It's also frankly a good all round camera and for the enthusiastic amateur it is very hard to be disappointed by it ;-).

Not sure the build is as good as my ancient E-20 (seems to be totally indestructible) or my E1 but then this camera is not in the same price bracket as they were.

Dear All,

Does this kit have a 2 year uk/eu warranty
best m

Dear Sir
Thanks for contacting our Pre-sales support team.
Not that we do, I would recommend getting intouch with the manufacturer to get something such as this. Though you do get a 1 years warranty with ourselves.

If you have any other queries or want help placing your order, feel free to email or contact us directly on 0872 111 2222, and we'll be glad to help.

Kind Regards

Dear Sir,
I am unsure at this time, I’ll get intouch with the Product Manager on Monday and I’ll let you know

The Question must of been too hard for Ebuyer :?

I was tempted to buy a E-510 when Olympus was doing the £100 cash back for buying Euro E-510.so i did ask ebuyer if they were the USA models, they did say yes and there E-410 was, looks like they only deal in USA models and they have warranty for a year.

I bought a C-8080 from them a couple of years ago, when the camera came it was a USA refurb model,i told them i want a new camera and not a refurb,so they replaced it,and another refurb came which in worse condition, they replaced it again and the same thing happened again,i got my money back in the end, that was abit naulty selling the C-8080 as brand new when they were american refurbs, sometimes a cheap price is not worth the hassle.

that's the reason why im being so cautious......cause that's a 'grey market' item...which means Olympus won't honour the warranty. ...If it goes pear shaped....They will ask for the original receipt of where you bought it and if its US stock being sold in the UK the won't service it.....now ebuyer offer a years guarantee I know but ...my worry is that if it needs repair or something, ebuyer will say use the 1 year world wide warranty but as it 'grey' ...when you go to do it....Olympus will point this out to you...

I think I'm analysing this to much!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this kit from ebuyer a couple of months ago when it was £429. Mine came with Olympus's worldwide warrantee (1 year) NOT the UK/European warrantee (2 years) however the charger cable that came in the box is the 3 pin UK one.
For the current price it's a bargain even without the UK/EU warrantee - I doubt if the price will go much (if any) lower as the two kit lenses alone are retailing close to £360.

Here's a good site for anyone wanting to stick hoya filters on the lenses:

This is absolute rubish - stop scaring people.:x
Olympus offer world wide warrantees on thier equipment which means that you can get the camera/lenes repaired/replaced in any counrty - not necessarily the one the equipment was purchased - provided that it is within the warrantee period and that Olympus have a service center in the country.
